On arrival night I have Ohana booked for dinner since we are staying at the Poly. However my husband and daughter have finally seen pictures of SAB at the Beach Club and we are thinking of staying there instead. If I change to Beach Club should I change our arrival dinner to Cape May buffet instead? My husband is allergic to shellfish but there seems to be plenty of opinions there, right? Or is Ohana worth the trip from the Beach Club?

Ohana is my favorite wdw restaurant so far! I have been to cape may cafe and didn't care for it. I didn't think they had much of a selection and just didn't find it good. I was disapointed in that one. So, even if you changed your reservation of where you are staying..I would still go to Ohana. We did Ohana 3 times last trip and will do it next time to. Ohana dinner 1st and last night and then an Ohana breakfast sometime during our stay.

We like Cape May for dinner and breakfast. There are plenty of selections that aren't seaford -- roast beef, chicken, pork. However, the theming is much better at Ohana. We don't care for the ruckus from the kids parading around and all that, so Cape May is a more relaxing choice.

Do Ohana! You can always go to CM any day you are there!

Plus, you can check out the momorail resorts... nice way to spend the first night.

It really comes down to your own personal preference. Most restaurants get mixed reviews..Ohana is not immune from mixed reviews. It can provide a unique experience if you have never dined there before, but there are better offerings in the monorail resort area.

We normally hang out in the resort area and pool our first afternoon-night when we arrive later in the day. We actually are scheduled this year to eat at Cape May (serves chicken & ribs too) after an afternoon at SAB.

When we stayed at PR MK CL we did dine at Ohana. It missed the mark again..and again, but there is something about not running around property on a travel day. Again, personal preference. If you dine at Ohana you might consider catching Wishes and/or Electric Water Pageant too, but that may depend on your dining time. Just ensure you state you want a table in the main dining area. These tables are in front of the grill...not behind it (old Tampu bar area). This may help improve your experience.

I am a fan of ohana especially if you have never been. Cape May although good just does not scream Disney

I have been to the "Ohana Breakfast 4 times...

I have had the Cape May Dinner 3 times....

My vote is to Keep your 'Ohana Reservations....

BC is our "Resort of Choice" because of SAB....however Poly is a favorite as well...and the location where I got married...so we often go back to visit...

As far as restaurants go... "Ohana is well ahead of Cape May in my book... Cape May dinner is just a buffet. It's not much different than the H&V Buffet that gets such a bad rap on here...(Plus an offering of clams /mussels, etc) We've been to Cape May dinner 3 times BECAUSE we were staying at BC....BUT I would NOT consider it a destination restaurant...while I WOULD consider 'Ohana a Destination Restaurant... (and we have been to 'Ohana while having ressies at BC)

And the 'Ohana dinner has been getting some excellent reviews... so my vote is to Keep 'Ohana... Poly is a beautiful resort to visit...even if you end up at BC for SAB... (which is an excellent reason to go with BC)...

Hugs,
Mary

Not eaten at Cape May, far too many mixed reviews; Ohana is great for both breakfast and for dinner
