How does it compare to Crystal Palace or 1900 Park Fare?

Is Boma's flavoring too unusual for picky or plain eaters? :confused3

Sorry for so many questions! I'm trying to book my ADR's and my head is swirling!:upsidedow Such a problem to have right?;)

The dinner food at Cape May is much better and has a greater selection than the dinner buffets at CP or 1900. There are plenty of seafood and non-seafood related dishes to choose from. However, you get the characters at CP and 1900 for dinner whereas they are not present at Cape May for dinner.

My opinion of the food flavors at Boma is that it is different enough to notice but not so bad as to offend. And not all food selections are different. There are many Americanized foods to choose from if you wish.

For what it's worth, I would take Boma and Cape May if choosing 2 out of the 4. Good luck with your ADRs.

Thanks for your response! It was so well said. I appreciate it!:worship: We have been to CP and 1900 which is why I asked for that comparison. My husband loves seafood but is also very picky...no mayo, veggies, etc... and my oldest son won't eat anything out of his norm so he likes buffets They don't make this easy! :headache: Thanks again!

I'm with the previous poster - you can't go wrong with Cape May Dinner or Boma - we always eat 2-3 times at Cape May - love it that much!!! There is such variety that anyone can find something to enjoy!!

Cape May Cafe has a nice varied menu, without being too crazy. Hate to just jump on the bandwagon and agree, but our family always includes the Clam Bake at Cape May Cafe in almost every trip to the World. Plenty of food likes ribs, baked chicken, and salad for those non seafood eaters in your group.. and soooo much fish, clams, scallops.. I'm hungry now!

I also find it a little more peaceful than, say, O'hana. I'm one of the folks that really loves O'hana, for the food and the environment, but it's definitely louder and crazier.

My two cents! Enjoy!!
George

PS - We just discovered Boma last year. Can't believe it took so long, but it's awesome too. We can make a meal out of their desserts.

I love the Cape May breakfast with minnie , donald and goofy , best breakfast buffet on property ! My kids love the clambake , I think they prefer it to Boma , and I prefer it to CP or park fare supper , but I do love Boma !
there are plenty of salads , ribs , chicken and of course buckets of crab legs to keep everyone happy !

We have eaten at all the restaurants you listed, and we enjoy them all. We especially like buffets with children as there is no wait time and plenty of food selections. I enjoy the seafood at Cape May Cafe and agree it is a quieter atmosphere (but not that quiet!). My husband loves Boma and I like their soups. Only problem - it is easy to fill up on soup, and for the price of a buffet, that is expensive soup!

I think Cape May is better than CP and 1900. It's not a character meal so its' already a bit quieter (although I've always found the Cape May character breakfast to be quiet also).

I would never recommend Boma for plain eaters. Sure, you can fill up on the dessert pod but that's a lot of money to pay for mediocre desserts. 75% of the food offered at Boma has unusual spices, that includes the meat station and most of the delicious soups. We are very adventurous and we enjoy the selections there but I will never forget when we took our best friends who are not adventurous and they paid all that money to eat chicken strips from the kids' pod. They were good sports and tried the other choices but disliked all of them.

I especially like Cape May the nights they serve their excellent fried shrimp.

Hope you enjoy it.

:)

I have not eaten at CP or 1900 PF, but I love Cape May, and I also love Boma. If I had to choose just one, I'd pick Boma, but Cape May is a great choice, you can't go wrong with all the selections they have. Here are some pics from our last dinner there:

Thanks so much to everyone! You've all really helped me get a handle on this! My husband will love Cape May for the seafood and it seems my kids will still be happy. :flower3:

Thanks TaraPA for the pics! It's fun to see! :lovestruc

Thanks Pakey for the Boma advice. I have a strong hunch that this is how my family would respond to Boma. I would probably love it but my husband is another story.
