Ok, so in a few weeks I can make my ADRs. So far I have planned:

Crystal Palace (breakfast)
California Grill (dinner)
Le Cellier(dinner)
50's Prime Time Cafe(dinner)
Boma(dinner)

I am thinking of adding the Cape May Cafe Clambake to my list. Does anyone have any opinions on this dinner? I don't recall reading much about it.
Thanks!

We loved it. Lots of food to choose from. This will be our first dinner when we get there in October! DH ate so many clams and mussel, I thought we'd get asked to leave! LOL

We have it planned for our upcoming Oct/Nov 2008 trip.

I love this place!! It is normally our first reservation, we normally fly in in the morning and that is our dinner..........so good I can't wait for April...

I love cape may!!! When I worked at MK 10 years ago this was my fave and still years later my hubby and I go there every trip we take. The food is wonderful and the little deserts are AMAZING!

Thank you for the feedback! I think we will definitely try it.

This is DH and I's "must-do" on every trip. We've never missed it and never will. Get a reservation right at opening (I think 5:30) to avoid the long lines that tend to form. We were seated 6th or 7th after they opened and though it was dead for the first 15 minutes... by the time we went up for our second helping the place was filling up quite nicely. We don't often get such a great variety of seafood (and non-seafood) in one meal. OH! And the dessert are amaaaaazing.

This was a disappointment to us. We were so ready to like it based on all the reviews. But the shrimp were mealy and the mussels and clams were way overdone! Dessert bar was good though. We would not go back.

Don't go expecting good seafood. This was the worst meal we've ever had at WDW.

we have it planned for our 1st WDW meal... and my husband really cant wait!!!!!! and now hearing about the great des I cant wait!!!!

We have gone twice. Liked it the first time, could live without it the second time. Would prefer more seafood selections and what other selections (ribs, chicken) that were offered we could get at Old Country Buffet. We did like the dessert selections, however.

we are eating there for our first time i April. I hope we enjoy it. Can anyone tell me what is offered for the desserts?

I guess I'm a seafood snob:snooty: because I really didn't like Cape May Buffet:confused3

Being from the Jersey Shore when I think of seafood I think little neck clams in garlic butter sauce, mussels in spicey marinara, thick fried flounder with sweet tartar, blue crabs covered with Old Bay, raw oysters with onion chutney.... MAN am I hungry:lmao:

The Cape May Buffet was your typical "Red Lobster" special. Bland seafood, average shrimp, no raw bar and watery soup.

For good seafood we enjoyed Fulton's at DTD. Jimmy Buffett sings"... gimmee oysters and beer, for dinner every day of the year, and I'd feel fine". :thumbsup2

We loved Cape May when we ate there in March 2007!
It was one of my dh favorite places -- we ate there for the Clam Bake dinner buffet.
All three of my boys (8, 5, and 3) ate very well there!!
Enjoy! :yay:

We are going to Cape May for the first time ever this year. My GS is a big seafood fan, me too! GD and DD not so much. But from what I've read, the choices at Cape May are really good.:thumbsup2

Being from New England, we've not been impressed with the offerings at Cape May. If you like Red Lobster type food, then go ahead. If you're looking for something more authentic pass it up.

I'm a former CM and have dined at cape may MANY times I'd say at least 50... here are some of my responses to other posts I have seen...

The deserts are mostly small bon bon size but the variery they have is great and the small size makes it really easy to try some of everything... you don't have to commit to a big piece of cake or something. My Hubby loves the mini german chocolate cakes and I love the mini oreo bon bons but they are all good IMO.

I will say if you are looking for the ultimate seafood extravaganza Cape May may not be the place HOWEVER if you are in my situation where not all members of your party like seafood cape may is great because they have something for everyone.

I Grew up in the north east LI NY and lived on costal CT for 6 years before moving to KY so I have had my fare share of great seafood and I would say that while the seafood here is simple it is still as good as the clambakes I have gone to on the beaches of CT. My husband can eat his weight in the peal and eat shrimp alone...they are delicious.

I have also eaten at the breakfast here and I love it as well...the charachters are great in their old style swimsuits and the food is good...A must try is the Bread Pudding with the vanilla sauce...it is fantastic!!
