Has anyone ate at Cape May Clam Bake lately? How was it? We have a reservation 1nt of our vacation and reading allears reviews is making me uncertain if I want to keep it or not.

TIA

We haven't been since Oct, but will be eating there again in Aug and Oct.

Short version - keep it!

We were there in March and really enjoyed it. The only thing that I didn't care for were the crab legs. They were overly salty. Everything else was great including their new dessert station!! Keep the ressie and enjoy!!

We were there in May and it was just like the other buffet sans characters. It was more than adequate. I would keep the reservation.

We just ate at Cape May for the first time this week. We enjoyed it. The clams were good as were the other menu items. The baked fish was the only thing not really good but everything else was great, especially the dessert bar!

Do they still have the crab legs on the menu? Allears doesn't have an updated menu and mouseforless has an updated menu but does not list crab legs.

Yes. We had dinner there on July 9th....DH & DS12 stuffed themselves with the crab legs.

Our entire family loved the meal. DS12 wanted to go back again the next night!!

Had dinner there on 7/24 - it was great. I'm not a seafood person, so I did not partake of the crab legs, clams etc. The ribs were terrific along with the carved meats. Soup station was great and dessert was fantastic. The chef served flan from the pan.

We had eaten at Chef Mickey's the night before - food was noticeably better and my kids liked it better, too. We didn't even miss the characters.

YUM!!! These are from Thursday July 15. You should be able to click on the photos to make them larger.

I love Cape May and would eat there very trip except for the fact that my wife hates buffets (except Boma). Oh well, there are plenty of non-buffet restaurants and I need to keep harmony in the family. After all, she does put up with the fact that the kids and I insist on going to WDW every year.

We also ate there on the 9th . . . stuffed ourselves with crab legs . . . and we did end up there the next night!!

To the OP -- Cape May was great, this was our first time there and we shifted things in our October reservations to work it in after enjoying it so much on our July trip. There were several different types of salads on the buffet, seafood and nonseafood items, and the desserts were awesome (Oreo Bon Bons . . . MMM!!):lovestruc

Never had a bad meal there and will be going back in a few weeks. :)

The seafood is the big thing, but we love the ribs, composed salads and desserts just as much. It's a nice spread.

so happy to see these responses to the OP...me and my DH have an adr for cape may in december. i have not eaten there since 2006...i can't wait!

Do they have calamari? I thought I saw it in a PP's pics.

Thank you everyone who has posted great reviews. We will definetly be keeping Cape May.
