Hi! We'll be staying at the Yacht Club in less than 2 weeks. Looking for opinions on the Cape May Clam Bake Dinner Buffet @ the Beach Club. More specifically for the 4th of July evening. The buffet runs from 5:30-9:30. There are 5 in our party - myself, DH, my parents and 6yr old DD. I can't seem to find if reservations are required or suggested. Has anyone here ate there? How was it? Thanks for any input!!

It's a good buffet. Not quite like a real New England Clambake as they claim, but still good. I would definitely recommend making an ADR though, especially on the 4th. Enjoy!!:goodvibes

you must make ps/s it is a buffett if you like clams, corn on the cob you will like it.

It depends on your expectations/experience. If you're familiar with good new england seafood, it will be a disappointment. If you like Red Lobster, you'll be happy.

DH & I go to Cape May for the buffet every visit to WDW. Last time was January, 2008 & the food was fantastic. We live on the East Coast of Florida & are seafood lovers and found it just as good as our local restaurants on the river here. I'd definitely make a reservation though, they were turning people away last time we were there & we had the earliest ressies that night. Desserts are fantastic too!!! :thumbsup2 Enjoy your trip!!

They have a good variety of food. They clams and muscles are decent. We stayed at the Yacht Club and Beach Club a few times and learned our lesson with walking up without a reservation. We had to wait an hour and a half towards the end of the serving. Even with a reservation, you'll end up sitting in the seats waiting. People at this type of buffet tend to stay a while.

If you want to go make the ADR... The selection is large and there are a few good choices for the kids...DH actaully always enjoys the kids choices at Disney buffets...There are seafood and non-seafood choices...The dessert bar is really good....Overall the food is good, it is not great....It is after all buffet food...The atmosphere is nice and calm...It is worth a try...Just don't expect the most yummy food you have ever had.

I would make an ADR for any TS restaurant to have a hope fo having somewhere to dine on a holiday, and for trips dueing the busy seasons.

THis is the one new (for us) restaurant we are trying in August. It was a request of my DH's. He loves mussels and clams, so I think he will be one happy man! I'm looking forward to trying out something new.

Definitely make ADR's. We have gone twice. We really enjoyed it the first time and the second time were not as happy. There wasn't much choice in fish and I didn't like the fried chicken at all. The corn on the cob both times was terrible.

You must make a reservation. We are also eating there on the 4th of July. I don't think there will be to many walk ups seated. The 4th is a busy weekend.
