I am staying at the Dolphin hotel and was looking for a character breakfast for my 2 1/2 year old DD. I was wondering how the food was and the character interaction.

Does anyone know, or know any others in Epcot or MGM that would be better.

thanks
Kim

my df and i changed a reservation last minute to Cape May last year and it was absoutly amazing. I forget what time we went but, the food was great and so was the character interaction, we got at min 5 or so mins with all of the characters! I highly reccomend Cape May for a character meal. its on our list for our next two trips to the world!

Cape May would be great for you, I think. It's usually not very crowded, and character interaction is really, really good. The characters look so cute in their swimwear! The food is good, and we always enjoy the whole experience.

thank you so much, I have been to disney a bunch of times but didn't realize that this was a character breakfast and figured it would be easier than going Chef Mickey.

I am going to try to book it 1st thing tomorrow.

thanks!!

Actually, if you're going to DHS the meal at Hollywood and Vine (B or L) is geared for her age. It features the Playhouse Disney characters, dancing and breaks back to the table with instructions to eat (kids sometimes are so stimulated at the character meals eating is an issue).

I booked it last summer for our 5yo, but canceled while there (we were just too full) but have it again this year and know we'll go for our lunch break.

We're planning to try Cape May at some point. With a 2-1/2 yo though, I might think about the Play and Dine at Hollywood & Vine in DHS...Little Einsteins with Jojo and Goliath.

If you'd like to enjoy your food, I'd highly recommend Cape May. The food is very good, and the character interaction is great. Since it's not as busy, your 2 1/2 yr old may actually eat and it won't be as overwhelming.

Our server was a little off, but the food was great, and the character interaction was exceptional since it wasn't crowded. Mickey even sat and played tic-tac-toe at our table for a few minutes!!

We have been to both with our kids and we really love Cape May... H & V was nice and the kids are into Playhouse so they did like the characters BUT we all enjoyed Cape May MUCH more...The character interaction is amazing, food selection is bigger and better, atmosphere is calm but great for small kids...

We felt the selection food at H&V was a bit small and the place gets very loud when they have their sign, dance, parage along (our kids did not like that it was so loud)....Our server was great and the food was good... it just wasn't special.

Hopefully there's not any character Speedo action going on :o)

We have an ADR here for 7/25 and I am know glad that I won't regret it. My son is going on the Albatross Treasure Cruise that morning after breakfast.

How far is the stroll from Cape May to the dock??

We went during Spring Break and it wasn't even crowded!! The characters even came around twice and spend more time with us than at any other character dining we've been to. Here is a pic that I thought may give an idea of the crowd when we went:

Very close... A five-minute walk.... Come off the docks, make a right, then a left after the water-slide, you will see a seating area and a large set of doors to enter the Beach Club (look for the Blue building).

Cape May character breakfast is DD16's favorite thing to do at WDW!!! She loves it so much we usually do it several times during our stay. The characters have time to interact a lot with everyone, the service is great, and the food is awesome!!!
