While I hold out hope of scoring a last minute ADR for either of Chef Mickey's or O'Hana's during our upcoming trip, I did manage to get a an ADR for Cape May Cafe as a replacement.

Any opinions about their character breakfast?

Thanks

I think it's a hidden gem due to it's difficult location. Food is better than other character buffets, the place is reasonably quiet and character interaction is the best.

Unlike the pp, I found the food to be very average, especially for the price. I would have liked to see a fresh omelette station at least.

But with that said, I wouldn't hesitate to go there just for the character interaction. I think the interaction at Cape May is better than any other restaurant in WDW; this includes breakfast, lunch or dinner anywhere. :thumbsup2

We love breakfast at Cape May Cafe and go every trip. The place is very bright and airy. There are tables and booths to sit in. Three characters circulate (Goofy, Donald, Minnie) dressed in beach attire. The breakfast buffet has plenty of hot/cold choices and I felt the food has been consistent in quality each time and pretty decent. We love it!

While I agree that an omelet station would be nice, the Cape May breakfast is still awesome! I would trade you Chef Mickey for it any day (I will not step foot in there, I gave them 2 tries, both times it was noisy, dirty and the food was awful. The pace is slower, the atmosphere is very pleasant and if you plan it for 8 am on an Epcot day, you can stroll right in through the international gates at open.

Cape May is fab for breakfast, my kids love it here too. Lovely airy restaurant which serves great food and has great service. Character interaction is great too. We visit this restaurant at least twice during our 3 week stay. Highly recommended in my eyes.

I found the food at Cape May to be about 1000X better than Ohana. I'm not an egg lover so I do not miss having an omlet station one bit.

We loved Cape May last trip...totally agree about the atmosphere (very relaxed and characters really take their time). I thought the selection was good and everything was tasty. I'm still debating for this upcoming trip if I should just do Cape May again or try something new (1900 PF). As long as you're not a picky eater I can't really find anything wrong with Cape May (it's really just all the typical breakfast foods).
