Can anyone tell me anything about the clambake at Cape May Cafe?
What kind of food do they have? I know its seafood but there are somethings my children will not eat and others they can't get enought of.
I would like to try it on our next trip but I went to the menu but all its says is clambake and while I am a big seafood person I have no clue what a clambake is? lol:rotfl:

This is a must do for every trip. I was actually there last week when I was in Orlando for business.

They have steamed clams and mussels with different butter or just plain. They also have a nice selection of salads w/peel & eat shrimp, a carving station with prime rib and another side with all comfort foods like BBQ Pork Ribs, Mashed Potatoes.

They also have a kids station with mini hot dogs, Mac & Cheese and Chicken Nuggets.

Don't forget the dessert too. They have oreo bon-bons, mini cheescake, cookies, brownies, flan, etc.

It's a great place, you will love it

I am trying this for the first time this year too. Go to google and type in All Ears Menus and all the WDW menus are there.

went there a few years back...Went on the dinning plan and just called during the day to find out what we could get (Didn't have to worry about reservations that trip) and was really surprised by it. I ate clams and mussels till my heart was content..the table "cloth" was paper and the kiddies got to draw all over the table while dad piled them clams high! ;)

We LOVE Cape May :thumbsup2 We're not big seafood eaters and we find plenty to eat there:goodvibes As a pp said, the buffet has a great variety of food, as well as a kids section. We always do a breakfast and a dinner there each trip:cool1: :cool1:

Although the focus is seafood there is plenty of variety even if you don't like seafood. Don't let the term "Clambake" scare you away. It doesn't have any special significance. I don't remember a big open pit where they were baking clams. ;)

We went there in 2006 and our kids were disappointed when we couldn't fit it in again in 2007 so we are going back this year.

As others have mentioned, you should definitely check out the menus on All Ears Net.

YOu know what's great about the clams?

If you dig the spoon way down deep into the clam bucket, you can get all the clams that fell out of the shell. There's like 30 on the spoon when you pull it up :)

One word for Cape May OUTSTANDING.

The salads and desserts we had there last February were magnificent! No seafood in 'em, either. :)
