We are staying at the Beach Club next month, and were just wondering how the Cafe is for young kids...who are picky eaters? Does the buffet offer much for kids (meaning, chicken and finger foods?)

Also, I understand there is a steak house at the Yacht Club....should we try it out? And, is it within walking distance? Thanks!!!

Yes, the buffet does have a section for children. They have chicken fingers, mac & cheese, french fries...the usual kid stuff that most adults eat too! The buffet is really big, so even picky eaters can usually find something. I'm not into seafood and I have no problem at this buffet.

As for as Yachtsman's Steakhouse goes, I've never ate there but you can walk there from the Beach Club. The Yacht & Beach are connected, so you can walk anywhere between the two resorts!

Hope the info helped. I'm jealous...I wish I were going soon. Have fun!

Thanks for the info! We only live an hour away...so we try to go over as much as possible...but it's only lately that we've "discovered" staying onsite...we always stayed offsite or just drove over for the day!

The Clam bake dinner buffet is pretty big. The childerns section includes mac & cheese, hot dogs, fish nuggets and chicken strips. I am a very picky eater and I really like to eat there. I always eat from the american side and children's..oh and definitely the dessert bar is pretty good too :teeth: I think that your kids will like it since there is a variety for them. I am going to Disney and staying at Beach Club Villas and will be eating at the Cafe for dinner on Saturday 1/28...yumm :jumping2:

As far as the Yachtsman's Steakhouse, I wasn't too impressed with it when I ate there. I got the chicken and it was just ok. Personally I won't go back, but that's not saying you wouldn't like it. Definitley over priced for what I received.

Yachtsman's Steakhouse on the high price side. :wizard:

Go over to allearsnet.com.....dining....menus for the Epcot resorts (Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin). This will help you decide where you would like to eat.

Also, if you are interested in doing a character breakfast buffet, the one at Cape May is our favorite! We had ADR's around 7:30 (can't remember exact time, but it was early). The breakfast food was so fresh and very delicious, and the characters (Goofy, Chip and Dale walk around the tables, and Minnie is at the entrance for photo ops) were the best. They are dressed up in beach clothes which was adorable. And they spent a lot of time at our table and came back a few times, because the restaurant was pretty empty (this was an April vacation).

We're at the world next week (6 days and counting!!! :flower: ) and I really wanted to do this breakfast again, but since Lilo and Stitch are now at 'Ohanas character breakfast, my son picked that one.

Even picky eaters can find something they like at the clam bake. They do have a kids section with pizza, etc. The last time we were there it was soooo crowded. The lines up at the buffett were very long but the food was good (don't know if it was the time we went or what was up, but thought I would mention it).

The Beach Club and Yacht Club are connected so it is no problem to walk to Yachtsman Steakhouse.

It is one of 2 places we eat on every single trip. The food is wonderful as is the service. We celebrated my birthday there last week! :)

The Boardwalk is also within walking distance for you. Check out the menus for the places there. We really enjoy Spoodles and Flying Fish.
