Are both of these places worth going to? Is one much better then the other?

Am I over booking by planning a day at a theme park and then planning on going to a resort for dinner?? I might be able to put both of these restaurants in my schedule but I was wondering if it was worth doing that.
It is so hard to know how we are going to be feeling when we are actually there. And is transportation really that bad? Does it really take an hour from place to place?

Boma I think def is, but CMC was AWFUL. I can get better seafood back home in NJ/NY. There were few choices at CMC and the food was not well prepared in my opinion.

I say Bomas, the food was ok/good but CMC is so bad, maybe because I am spoiled with good seafood up here in Mass:)

We are doing both in Oct. Never been to Boma dinner but the breakfast is amazing so I figure dinner must be just as wonderful. We have done Cape May three times and it is very good but can get super loud and crowded.

Boma. This is one of the best restaurants i have been in my life (and i have been in lots, from Paris to South America, I love food).

Boma is great for breakfast or dinner. Never done Cape May Cafe.

Boma's hands down. Cape May both breakfast & dinner were awful just awful. Know some like it but we didn't. We have better choices of sea food up here in VA:)

I would choose Boma also. Since no one has addressed transportation, Here's some info:
If AK is still open, it's just a short bus trip to AKL for dinner. You can bus to/from your resort to AK, so that's the most logical connection point. If AK is closed (a possibility after dinner), you would have to connect at another theme park or DTD. Another option (and the fastest) would be to take a taxi back to your resort.
You didn't say where you're staying. If you post that, I can be more specific as to your transportation options.

Both are well worth going to, IMHO.

We have ate at Cape May Cafe for both breakfast and dinner. Liked both and will definitely go back. Breakfast is tradional buffet with character interaction, dinner is clambake with peel and eat shrimp, steamed clams, BBQ ribs and basic buffet fare.

I have done both and think it is unfair to compare as the food is so different.....different presentation.

I think for quality and quantity, I like Cape May for dinner, lots of choices and they work very hard at keeping the food fresh, always replenishing. I have not done breakfast there for years. I did this past trip do Boma for breakfast and it was great, service was good too... so maybe try them both, one for breakfast or one for dinner.. I liked the different breakfast choices at Boma too.

We are staying at Coronado Springs.

Okay. CSR is not far from AKL, so a cab ride wouldn't cost very much at all. By bus, a transfer via AK, DHS or even EPCOT wouldn't take you too far out of the way.

It's funny to see so many comments about it being hands down for Boma, and quite a few commenting about having better seafood in the northeast. Well, for "plainer" eaters it's hands down for Cape May (I don't even eat seafood, DW does and it's okay for her). I couldn't even find food l really liked that much on the child's section or the dessert area at Boma - and that's very unusual. But I eat tons at Cape May, and the desserts are fantastic (oreo bon-bons destroy zebra domes).

So for our family, it's Cape May all the way.
