cape may cafe do or dont

My whole family loved the dinner buffet. We ate buckets and buckets of steamed clams, so good.

Breakfast buffet is a great character meal - it's a bit less rushed feeling from other ones we've been to, and is an easy walk or boat ride over from the Boardwalk. The buffet is full of traditional American breakfast fare, then some additional things like b'fast pizza. Kids & DH love the mickey waffles. It was the first character meal my DH, my DD and I went to so it is a sentimental favorite :goodvibes

We just got back from Boardwalk...excellent customer service...we also love Cape May Cafe...have done breakfast and dinner....mushroom soup for dinner is awesome!

I am in the minority on this posting, but for us Cape May Cafe was repulsive. I wouldn't rush back at all - there are too many other buffets and meals that have been better.

Cape May sounds like one I would like to try too- Do they have the "clam bake" nightly? And can I get there from OKW- maybe take the boat to DTD, then to Beach club/Cape May? (sorry for the hijack:rolleyes1)
Yes, they do have the clambake nightly. Unlike a real NE clambake, though, they don't have lobster. We like it a lot, though. It was the only meal DS specifically requested for our upcoming trip.

You could take the boat to DTD, but bus transportation from DTD to the resorts is reportedly (I've never done it) very slow. I think you might be better off taking the bus to Epcot, though you would have to walk through the whole park to get to the International Gate and the Beach Club. Or you could take the bus to DHS, then a boat from there.

Cape May serves a buffet breakfast and dinner; the breakfast is also a character meal. The dinner features seafood in addition to beef. What meal are you interested in ?
The best way to get there from the Boardwalk Villas is to walk. You can ask for directions at the Boardwalk concierge or consult any of the maps you can easily find online or at the Boardwalk resort when you check in.

we are thinking of eating at cape may cafe, we are staying at boardwalk viilas. does anyone have any good/ bad reviews about this place and also can we walk to it from the boardwalk if so how do we get there, thanks in advance

We ate there at breakfast and loved it! Very good food and good interaction with the characters. Even my picky child loved it!

Last trip, we were flying out later in the day, but not late enough to go to a park so, on a whim, we got (easily) a last minute ressie for breakfast at Cape May. LOVED IT! In fact, my girls loved it so much, we have to stay at the Beach Club during our next trip. The character interaction (minnie, goofy, chip & dale - all in rash guards and long shorts - great for my surfer girls) was fantastic and the food wonderful! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2
