cape may cafe do or dont

we are thinking of eating at cape may cafe, we are staying at boardwalk viilas. does anyone have any good/ bad reviews about this place and also can we walk to it from the boardwalk if so how do we get there, thanks in advance

We have had breakfast and dinner at Cape May Cafe and have enjoyed both. It is only a short walk from Boardwalk (ten minutes max.)

We love Cape May . We eat atleast one breakfast and dinner there each trip .

We have never had breakfast there as our son is 16 and does not enjoy the character meals anymore. He does, however, really enjoy the dinner buffet.
We have a dinner there every trip. DH and I enjoy it, too!

We found the food to be very good, the sevice good and we had a very nice time, we are going back to the world in Sept. and will eat there again.

Cape May is a must do with me. The lines at the buffet get pretty long and the set up makes it hard to navigate but it is pretty decent food and the atmosphere of the Beach Club keeps me coming back

Do try it - We kept canceling ADR's for years and finally went in 2007 and we LOVED it. Funny - one of the things we really loved was on the kids bar was the corn dog nuggets. The broccoli slaw is awesome too - heck everything was good here.

One of our favorites! Dinner is awesome, my husband loves the seafood and the kids like the food for them too. Service has alays been good there. Breakfast isn't as loud as some of the other character meals we've had and the food is good too. Yummy!

We tried Cape May for the first time during our last trip and we all loved it. Even my picky teenage sons!! We're going again in just a few weeks.

Cape May sounds like one I would like to try too- Do they have the "clam bake" nightly? And can I get there from OKW- maybe take the boat to DTD, then to Beach club/Cape May? (sorry for the hijack)

We've done BC the last 3 trips....and Cape May Buffet every time - for Dinner....

LOVE the Cape May Buffet...something for everyone....

You should be able to walk there from BW but I didn't read to see if you have little ones...

We walked to BW quite a bit last trip ...but my crew are now teens.

One thing I noticed is that I would always get ressies for Cape May. It's amazing the number of people that see no one at Cape May during the day and just assume they can just ALL WALK IN AT 6pm and there not be a line....we always have ressies so we don't usually wait at all.....so MAKE RESERVATIONS!

Most folks assume they are all mussels and shellfish...they also have roast, ribs, a great salad bar, a great dessert bar....

The food variety is what makes it interesting for us. We are very different eaters.

We've done both and have always been happy.

We have both a breakfast (love the asparagus) and a dinner (kids love the corn on the cob - I'm all about the clams) scheduled for our summer trip.

DH and I love eating there! Last time they lady at the table next to us must have really enjoyed it too, we kept seeing her sneak food into her purse every time she came back from the buffet

have gone there for dinner on several occasions. IMO it tends to be hit or miss. There are times the food is fantastic and times we've been less then impressed.
