Cape May Cafe - dinner?

We've only had dinner there ... someone else can weigh in on breakfast.

We've historically felt like it was one of the most consistent buffets on property. The mussels and clams are tasty (if chewy) - I prefer the mussels. Peel 'n eat shrimp are nice and tender - they aren't overcooked like they are in some places.

DW, who just can't manage seafood in any form, has never gone away hungry. There's usually ribs and rotissiere chicken, plenty of veggies, and other goodies.

One down side - other than the Oreo bonbons, the desserts are pretty pedestrian.

I have noted over the years that the service has been really fine, with constantly bussed tables and glasses staying filled.

You may get some dissenting views, but for us - it's a safe, good bet.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the dinner at Cape May! the atmosphere was great and the food was wonderful! There was a lot of variety and the desserts were amazing!! highly recomend it!

We had dinner there Christmas Eve and HATED it! We were really looking forward to it and really wanted to like it but it was the worst meal we had in the seven nights we were there. The only positive was that our server was very attentive and engaging. We've vowed never to return. :( There are far too many restaurants that we really like at WDW to give this one a try again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Cape May. Seafood was delicious and in abundance.

I overserved myself... :guilty:

Another vote for Cape May. We were just there 3 weeks ago and had a wonderful meal. Huge selection, the seafood was very good, and the service was excellent. It was our first time but we will most definitely be going back.

Cape May is our family`s arrival night tradition. There is something for everyone on that menu, including mini hot dogs and etc. for kids. The atmosphere is very enjoyable and we have never had a bad meal there...ever. As far as the OP saying they would never go back... I always give a place a second chance, with the exeption of Boma. I would never go there again because of the spices in the food. I don`t think that would change. Go to Cape May and see for yourself. It`s a buffet....plenty to choose from.

We love Cape May for dinner. It's relaxing, fun. You will see "reviews" from folks who live say 10 minutes from the ocean that it's not as authentic as they're accustomed to, but for the rest of us it's great!!!!!

We ate there for the first time this past February. We definitely enjoyed the restaraunt. There was enough variety so that everyone had plenty to eat that they really enjoyed.

The service was excellent and the only issue that we had was with my KTTW card. Apparently I let the camera get too close to it and it erased the information. We were on the DDP and I was a little distressed when the waiter said that my card would not work.:scared: But that certainly was not the fault of Cape May.

We would definitely go back on a future trip.

We were there about 3 weeks ago- DF loved it, I thought it was just ok. The Oreo bonbons are delicious!:lovestruc
