Hi:

I do not eat fish or clams. Does anyone know if there is turkey, or steak there. If you don't eat clams, fish etc are there lots of other things to eat? Do people recommend this dinner?

Any comments?

Debbie

Ate there last summer with my husband who has shellfish allergies!!!!...PLENTY to eat anyway...salads, chicken, pork, etc....It is half and half, and I thought one of the better buffets at Disney! Really nice staff.

We love the Cape May Clambake. We are big seafood lovers, but there are plenty of other things there to satisfy people who are not. We have done this meal on several trips and never been disappointed. If you do decide to go, make sure you save room for dessert, the oreo bon bons are INCREDIBLE!:goodvibes

I think it's one of the better buffets. We haven't been there for a couple years, but I remember the corn bread being really really good!

Our first time visiting the clam bake was last year. My DH didn't like it. He tends to like sit downs and I'm starting to be that way too. The food was alright. I can't remember anything being that great though.

I never eat seafood there, but I am always stuffed when I leave there. There is a lot of great non-seafood items!

We ate there on our trip this past Nov with a large group of 12...only 1-2 of that group like seafood, but it was a great hit with everyone. We would definitely go back.

Enjoy!

The food is nothing to rave about, but there's plenty of it.

I think they need to change the name. It's not a clambake at all and i think it might draw seafood lovers in and they will be disapointed and it will keep non seafood eaters away and they might have enjoyed it. IT's a no frills restaurant but the buffet was probably one of our favorites! The food was fresh and good. I had buckets of clams and oysters but my husband doesn't eat shellfish at all. It had GREAT desserts too. IT has a carving station, cheeses, salads, corn on the cobb, bbq chicken, bbq ribs, a kids station.....and i'm sure other stuff i'm missing. I would definitely go back.

IMHO the high price - I think something like $36 per person - is not worth it if you aren't really seafood eaters. There is plenty to eat, but it is really the same foods you'll find on other buffets for much less money. Again, Just MHO.

Agree with most posts...particularly the last 3...

I've eaten there for dinner 3 times..and I don't consider it a "destination restaurant"....

Certainly there are better/other places to travel to eat at WDW....

We were staying at BC....so that's why we chose the restaurant.... I'm staying at BC in May...and NOT eating there.....Choosing instead to leave BC to travel to eat elsewhere...

Our family of Five were satisfied and got our money's worth there (This before the price increase).

I don't care for "Buffet seafood" so ate the carving station, ribs, fantastic salads... there is a Kids Buffet...and a great Dessert Buffet....

We had some picky teens so it suited us fine for that purpose...

Hugs,
Mary

I ate there years ago and didn't like it at all, the seafood was below what I called seafood, everything was just no eatable right down to the corn on the cob which by the way was the best thing on the menu,,YUCK I give it (on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the worst) I give it an 11

Husband is making me go back 3 times over Feburary break. He ate like 7 buckets of clams, literaly.

We went over Christmas holiday and we loved it. I am not a big seafood eater - Haddock is as fancy as I go - lol.

But I am happy to go back. There was plenty to eat for non seafood eaters, such as myself.

Oreo bon bons :thumbsup2

Food was good quality. Not a complaint here. Awesome buffet.

This and Crystal Palace are our favorites.

I agree with the poster who feels it should not be called a clam bake. DW and I have been there twice and find it just so-so. Sure, there are lots of clams and mussels, but I have had larger and better at real clam bakes. I am not saying there isn't enough to eat, but the name clam bake will scare away the non-fish people and the real shellfish lovers will be disappointed. That being said, the desserts are wonderful, although they don't justify the price of the meal.

Last week we ate at Tusker House and I was truly impressed with their seafood stew. Mussels, shrimp and scallops in a tamirand sauce. Now that was a seafood lovers delight.

IMHO the high price - I think something like $36 per person - is not worth it if you aren't really seafood eaters.

To avoid any miscommunication - the current price is $30.99 for adults, plus tax and tip. This goes up by $4 during peak periods.

I've been a Cape May fan for years. Since I've had a heart condition the last couple of years, the chef has been happy to make a special low-fat, low-sugar, high-taste dessert dish for me, as well as taking me through the entire buffet item by item and explaining which ones are or are not a good fit for my current diet.
