Anyone ever eaten at the Cape May Cafe Clam Bake Dinner? Did you like it?

I'm looking to eat at a place that we haven't tried yet keeping in mind my DD's picky eating and thought this might work because there are alot of selections that she'd like. Also, I've always wanted to walk around the Beach Club resort to check it out.

TIA!

Its all good! We love this place. Well, there was one time when they were out of crab legs....but otherwise, no bad no ugly.

The Good -- the desserts
The Bad-- mealy shrimp and rubber mussels
The Ugly --we really wanted to like this place but it was way below our expectations.

We've eaten there a few times and find that it has been better on some trips than others. :confused3 Come to think of it... it was better when it wasn't as crowded. Anyway, we would go there again... my kids like it.

*It is a beautiful boat ride from HS.

We have been several times. The food is decent. Lots of choices for adults and kids. The shrimp still have the shells on it but my kids did not seem to mind. My DS (8) piled up a large plate of shrimp and eat all of them. The mussels can be chewy at times but pretty good. We have an ADR for Cape May's in August.

DH & I ate there 2 years ago. I went just for the clams & they were full of sand & just plain old ugly. I didn't go away hungry by any means , but very dissapointed.

Good, not great... Is how I would decribe it...

There is something there for the picky child (like my older guy)...

Like most buffets, the food is just good, it is not terrific...

Atmosphere is nice and calm but good for families.

I hope it's not too bad - We just booked in September during free dining and had alot of issues getting the ADR's we had wanted! We booked this for dinner and hope it will be alright!

I've eaten there a few times and have always enjoyed my meal. There were plenty of choices for both seafood eaters as well as non. We have always lucked out with the service as well and left feeling full and well fed.

I went for the first time last summer and really enjoyed myself. Its like all buffets its hit or miss. I complained about something that I had and the waiter brought me fresh out to the table. I told it wasn't necessary and was told yes it was. I will definately go back next time we go. There were 11 of us and everyone in our party had no problem finding something to eat there.

We love Cape May for dinner (breakfast, too:goodvibes). It's a great buffet with lots of variety for every taste:thumbsup2 . We eat there every trip and haven't had a complaint yet. I don't think you will be disappointed;)

We ate there in Sept. 2007 and again in January 2008 & loved it. I'm not a seafood eater other than shrimp & I sure found plenty of food to make the cost of the meal worthwhile. DH is a seafood lover and ate a little of just about everything they had on the buffet. The desserts are to die for!! We even try to eat there if we're doing day trips over to Epcot because we enjoy it so much!! :cutie:

It's one of my favorites!! We go there a few times a year and have always had good experiences. I think the clams get a little overcooked but the mussels have always been good for us. My husband isn't a big seafood eater but he loves the ribs. I like that there's something for both of us. And don't get me started on the oreo bon bons

We liked it! I don't eat seafood, and I found plenty to eat. I won't say it was outstanding, but it was good.

Yes we love it if we go after 6:30 when they have a chance to refill and turn over the food. We went once right when they open and watched them put food out 20 to 30 minutes before they even opened so the food was cold and dry...blech!

They have killer ribs, roasted chicken and fried talapia...DH loves the littlenecks.
