Has anyone tried Cape May Cafe Character Breakfast, if so what are your thoughts? Will be with my 20 month old DD. How is the characters with the kids? Also is the food worth it??
Thanks in advance!
Kevin

My husband and I have done the Cape May character breakfast twice. It was a lot of fun. It has Minnie, Goofy, Chip N Dale, and Pluto.

I can't tell you how the characters are with the kids, but they're a lot of fun for adults. I had my Pal Mickey sitting on the table, and when Minnie came by she motioned to him and patted her heart.

The food is good, but since it's a buffet it has typical buffet problems. Some goes quickly and they keep it fresh and the containers full, other food sits around longer. But I love character breakfasts and we're planning to go again during our trip in May.

We Have Eaten There Twice. Last Year My Twins Were 2 1/2. They Received A Lot Of Attention From The Characters, not Because They Were Twins, either. We Had A 7:30 Am Adr,so It Was Not Crowded Yet. I Think Each Character Made It Twice To Our Table. They Use Paper Tablecloths So The Characters Would Draw Pictures For The Kids! Oh,yeah The Food Was Good Too! We Enjoy All Of The Character Breakfasts. It's Hard To Say Which One Is My Favorite.
We Haven't Done The One At The Grand Floridian In A While, only Because They Don't Start Until 8 Am-that's Too Late! This June,we Are Doing 2 Crystal Palace Bfast And 1 Breakfastosaurus. My Boys Love The Pooh Characters.

Last easter we went to Cape May & loved it. The food was awesome & the characters were great. Besides myself- 32, there was my parents plus my neice - 9 & nephew - 14. Goofy tried to feed my neice her eggs - it was a hoot. They came around several times so we got lots of pictures & autographs. We have added it to our "must do" list of restaurants.

:thumbsup2 It has become a tradition for our whole family to eat here when we vacation together...this June, there will be 16 of us!! I'm not big on breakfast, but I really like this one...they have a few different items that are quite yummy! In our experience, the character interaction has been very unhurried. We have 5 children, but each character has always taken the time to line up for the whole group picture. Some of my favorite pictures have come from this character meal!

Hope you have a wonderful vacation w/ lots of special memories!

We have always liked this breakfast and pretty much try to do it every trip. The character interaction is good and sometimes they come around more than once depending on how crowded the restaurant is. 7 yr old dd has ALWAYS enjoyed this breakfast since she was 3.

The breakfast buffet is also good. Items are usually pretty fresh and there is a nice variety of choices.

Unfortunately our experience with dinner here is a totally different story.

I went to this character breakfast in December as a solo, so my impression of character interaction is from what I saw. But it looked wonderful. The characters were just so great with all the kids. Looks like there were lots of visits, and the characters were very attentive. And I liked the food too. Highly recommend it.

We were there 8am Thanksgiving morning. Our server was new but very much wanting to make everything nice. We felt a little bad for her because we could tell she was nervous. The characters were great. Never knew Goofy was such a Yankees fan. He say my DN's sweatshirt and struck up a conversation! His side covered all of the paper tablecloth! My aunt and niece took it home. It was a great time and the food selection was great too.

We went to the breakfast buffet in September with our son, who was 9 MO at the time. We dined at several of the character buffets during the trip. The food was very good, but we didn't like it quite as much as the others. The character interaction was great, though. We were seated towards the end of breakfast hours and as the crowd lessened, my son got lots of attention. At one point, Minnie, Chip, and Goofy were at the table at the same time playing with the baby.

Our Fam really enjoyed it. They have quite a variety of breakfast foods. Great buffet! The characters made it around twice before we finished. Great interaction!

The restaurant itself is pretty laid back. I would give it a 9 out of 10.

We usually go to the Cape May breakfast on our last day of our trip. The food is good. The character interaction is always great. My kids love it!
Enjoy!

Thanks for all the replies, made my ressies and i cant wait to go. Will be there in 1 week. Any other suggestions on a breakfast to goto. We already did Donalds in Animal Kingdom, 1900 park fare and Cinderella's Royal Table.

We usually end our trip with Chef Mickey's. Based on everyone's review, I think we'll try CMC this time! Thanks for sharing!

planning 10th trip in June:yay:

OMIGOD this is the best breakfast in town! We just went there last weekend for the first time and we were blown away....cannot believe we never tried this place before!

The food is out of this world...we were sat at 7:45 and had the place and the characters to ourselves until 8:15 or so.
