So, I posted on here yesterday and got A LOT of great advice about my upcoming 2 day stay with park tickets to only MK. I wanted to fit in at least one character meal. Nothing on the first day to maximize our time there. But, now undecided about 7:45 am breakfast on the second day at cape may cafe (we are staying at pop) and MK rope drop at 9am. Or, have a relaxed morning, get to MK at 9am and then do brunch at chef mickey at 12:50. then head back to MK. Any idea what sounds like a better plan?

Well if food quality is a concern, Cape May no question. Their food is 10'x better than CM's. If you want access to MK easily and want the character thing, CM is fine.
If you've never been to CM is noisy but fun. I haven't been in years but once was enough for me.

It depends on your priorities with the meal. As the previous poster noted, Chef Mickey's will be convenient and Cape May is better for food. Another thing is that you get the full fab 5 at Chef Mickey's. So, if Pluto or Mickey are a must, that might govern where you go.

We like Cape May better, but just a bit. Breakfast food at Disney is so similar in most locations.

I do not think you can make RD at MK if you have a 7:45 breakfast at cape May.

If you are early risers you can enjoy breakfast at Cape May and then head to MK knowing you will not need to leave the park to eat, but again, this is an early start with almost no chance of making RD.

I would choose to get to MK early, get the first few hours in touring and then go to the CR for brunch. You can have your break, meet the Fab 5 and then a short walk back to the MK.

I also do not see when you are going, but watch park hours. There are times Disney opens MK at 8 AM if they think it will be busy.

I think you will be hard pressed to make MK RD with a 7:45 am breakfast at Cape May. I would look for an early breakfast at O'hana, CM or 1900 Park Fare or keep the CM brunch.
