I have just read a very negative review for Cape May Buffett.

Any recent experiences good or bad?

We have a ADR for September and I was really looking forward to it but now I am having second thoughts!

We just ate there 6/21. It was good. Not our favorite meal of the week, but something we would consider again, although, not at the top of our list. There weren't as many food options, but what was offered was decent.

This is my friend's absolute favorite. My Mom recently tried it for dinner with a few people she works with and loved it...we are not buffet people and she still loved it, so I trust it :) We did breakfast here in February and it's my new favorite character breakfast!

Thank you all I am beginning to feel a little better about this ADR. I am bringing my sister with me want acceptable food and service.

We like it.... like a PP said, it's not our favorite, but the food has always been good :)

We LOVE the character breakfast there though :) Lots of fun and great character interaction :thumbsup2 as well as yummy food :)

We have dined here many times for breakfast and dinner and just love it! If you click on my Oct link there are threads on both meals and a ton of pics too

It has been 3 years since we last visited WDW, but Cape May has always been a positive experience for us. My family loves seafood, and the endless clams and shrimp are a big hit.

We loved Cape May Breakfast buffet...we are trying the dinner buffet on our next trip and go back for the breakfast too.

My family (6 of us) ate here in May and loved it. The food was delicious, our server was really nice, and we had a relatively quiet table. It was in the corner next to the hallway kind of out of the way of everyone. We mentioned the great location of the table and our server said it was because we had early ADRs (5:40 I think it was). They typically fill the restaurant in from the outer edges.

Just be aware that they misrepresent this buffet in the name.

Clams yes, seafood, yes. Clambake = a Big Fat NO.

Most of the items on the buffet are NOT traditional claim bake items (even the clams are not traditional). You will be sorely disappointed if you are looking for the traditional items.

We live in New England where the clambake reigns supreme in the summer and avoided this buffet just for the misnomer.

BTW we did have breakfast here and loved it.

We ate there Sept.08' and it was great! I had buckets of clams and mussells, clam chowder, fish, mac and cheese-Boy am I getting hungry! I did'nt get a chance to try anything else,BUT,I'll get my chance in Sept. We're eating dinner there twice!!!:thumbsup2

I agree with the PP who said Breakfast good, dinner so-so. That's just my opinion, I wouldn't cancel a ressie over it though unless you can get something better or more convenient.

:thumbsup2

We love Cape May and eat there for atleast one breakfast and one dinner each trip :goodvibes. There is plenty of variety to choose from and the food is great :thumbsup2.

We are booked to have dinner here for the first time this coming Sept. can anyone remember the non seafood items that they served? Did they have a carving station?

My DH and I ate at CM last week. He was really looking forward to the seafood. He said it was ok. The food was good and we were full when we left. I don't think we'll be doing another buffet at Disney. The lines got too long to do a return trip for the "main" food at CM and Boma. Plus, I get totally disgusted when I see people lick their fingers then touch the serving spoons :scared:
CM didn't have crab legs on the bar when we were there. They did have peel and eat shrimp. There was a carving station but it wasn't prime rib...still good though. It's good, standard (except for mussels and clams), buffet fare and if that's what you want you won't be disappointed.
