Cape Gooseberries/Physallis/Tomatillos

Has anybody heard of this fruit
Cape Gooseberryies/Physallis/Tomatillos? They are quite common in the UK but I was trying to describe them to a friend in Texas and she has never seen them. I was wondering if you had another word for them - these are what they look like

Hi! I've never heard of them. I found this site that gives some of the other common names. Sounds interesting!

Some interesting names! They are really nice especially dipped in melted chocolate. My friend will be glad to know she is not the only one who has never heard of them.
