Capacity question: Is there a line you can wait in to try and get in MK?

I tried to search this but couldn't find any info. Is it possible to wait in a line at MK when it is at capacity (as it is currently)? If so, where is it located and has anyone had any success with it? I have a friend there now asking... TIA!!

Edited to add: I'm sure you just "get in line and hope for the best" lol.. but she was wondering if you could indeed wait in line or if they just turn everyone away.

Is this person a resort guest? I'm seeing "resort guests, annual passholders, guests with military tickets, Golden Oak and Club 33 members, and guests with complimentary tickets" are being allowed to enter MK. Just day guests are being denied. Not sure if that is still the case as this was several hours ago. Usually, as we get near nightfall closures are lifted as families begin to leave the park.

If you aren’t a resort guest then you can’t park at TTC (That’s phase 1), and they usually won’t let you board an Epcot monorail to MK.
(I think Epcot is better for NYE, crazy, crazy busy but a fun party)
If you are a resort guest with an ADR, etc, then you can probably get in.

They checked out of their resort this morning so I'm not sure if that still qualifies them as a "resort guest" but they would be using Disney transportation. I'll pass this along. Thank you!

When they check out of a Disney's resort, they have on site privileges at the park all the way until park closing for that day. The only privilege they lose is use of the resort room.
