Capacity Increase Thanksgiving Week?

Did a search and didn't see a thread.

We are going the 5 days before Thanksgiving and last week I noticed HS had no availabilty at all. MK was booked on 2 days as well. I now see all parks available except on Thanksgiving Day. Increased park capacity?

This is a question we will never know the answer to, it could be increase capacity, it could be reshuffling of allotments, it could be they were holding spots and just released them

Disney has stated over and over again, that they have no plans to increase capacity at this time.

I would also contend that there may have been a surge in cancellations for Thanksgiving Week due to the surge in COVID being reported around the country. I know my wife is leaning that way right now, but I am holding on to hope.

I wouldn't be surprised to see both park and restaurant availability popping up frequently throughout the next 2-3 weeks due to those balking on their Thanksgiving trip plans.

When there are no reservations at a specific park for any category of guest and suddenly there is, that availability had to come from somewhere.

Personally I think you can increase capacity without "increasing capacity". Let's say it's set at 25% capacity and you open up another store, restaurant, piece of concrete, then you have more square footage and therefore can hold more people normally according to the fire marshal. Therefore, you could get the 25% of that area's capacity to add to the total.

Woah, never thought of it that way! Dunno if that is what they are doing, but if you have an area of 100 square feet and then you add 3 more areas of the same, your capacity is definitely different!
