Capacity Closure and Dining Reservations

I don't know if it will get crazy enough to close due to capacity Thanksgiving week, but since some are reporting crowd levels at a 10 I thought I'd ask...

What happens if you are outside the park and it's closed due to capacity but you have dining reservations inside? Will they let you in?

Thanks! I tried to search the boards but I couldn't find anything. That thread was very helpful

I think I'm most worried about our Big Thunder Ranch dinner res, so we'll make sure we stay in the park once we're in just in case.

Yes, it all depends on the level of the closure. When I went to Disneyland during the 24hr event back in May, Disneyland was closed to new guests but our reservation for Big Thunder Ranch got us in even though it was our first time entering the park that day. The cast member asked to see the confirmation on my phone. We were fortunate though, just minutes after we went in, Disneyland went into a complete closure due to capacity (sometime after 5:30pm on 5/22). No entries were allowed no matter how many guest left. As a result The lands were practically deserted (except for the parade routes) until it re-opened at 2:30am on 5/23. But, I don't think it will be anywhere near as bad for Thanksgiving, but if it does hit some kind of capacity closure, just be ready to show your reservation on your phone.

Oh, now I'm worried! I have Fantasmic/Blue Bayou dinner booked for Fri. Jan. 8th at 5:00, and we won't arrive at the park until 3 or 4 (that's our arrival day). I think it's going to be a really busy weekend because of all of the closures happening on the 10th. Maybe I should try to make another reservation for the Saturday just in case?

You shouldn't have a problem on the 5th.
