Can anyone tell me about CJs? Food, atmosphere, does it get crowded? Is it worth it? Where is it's exact location at DTD?
thanks.

Thoug it often gets negative reviews, we thougth it was wonderful. The food was tasty fresh and well prepared, service was effecient and friendly. It does get crowded so you should get on the list as soon as possible. We went on a Tuesday night at dinner time and had to wiat until 9:30 for a table. Not a big dea we did a bunch of shopping and then returned at 9:15--we were seated immediately. It is on the Market place side of DTD out toward the water. Walk behind the stage area. It is very close to lots of shopping so easy to kill the wait time. The children's menu was great here. DD ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and thought it was her favorite meal all vacation.

Thanks!! Yeah, I dont know about the wait time.. We were planning on going on a week night around 7pm..that might be a bit late?? Might have to change to more like 5pm...plus its during sept. and free dining.

We went to Capn Jacks last September with the dining plan and again this March. We have had good food both times. As the previous poster said it does get crowded. In March we arrived about 5:00 and were immediately seated. But last September we arrived at 6:00 and got on the list and went and shopped and then returned at about 7:30 and were seated. I had the twin lobster tails and hubbby had the ribs. The bill was well over $100.00 and we didn't have any drinks. Don't know if we will eat there again, just because it is so much food on the dining plan, but we did enjoy it. You can also get steak and lobster on the dining plan, I had that in March. Enjoy. :thumbsup2

From what I understand they do NOT take ADRs. I was wondering something?? If we skipped one night of dinner, could we use that dinner credit for the LAST day we are there for a TS lunch????

Our flight doesnt leave till 8pm the last day we are there, we thought we could possibly do lunch at a park or at DTD at Cap'nJacks the last day so it wont be as busy in the afternoon..

It is a first come first serve basis. They don't take ADR's. I think that Fultons does, but it is not on the dining plan.

Food is good, not great. Service is hit or miss. Wait times can be really bad as they don't take ADRs.

Since it is in Downtown Disney, not the easiest place to get to and wait can be long, I would not plan this for a time when time is a consideration. There are other places as good or better which take ADRs and easier to get to.

This is one of our favorites. I guess what we've had (crab cakes, some of the pastas & just about every kid item) have been their best. I can't wait until we got there again!

I think I might have to agree with you here.. I'm having second thoughts. Our obstacle is to find a place to eat on the DDP/TS either at DTD or nearby where it wont take long to get to DTD after dinner, so it doesnt waste a lot of time.

EX: Our plan for this day (tuesday) go to AK, leave around 4pm go back to POP, change and go to dinner and spend time at DTD. (this our DTD night).

Any suggestions? We may skip our TS dinner this night and use it on our last day for either a character breakfast or a TS lunch. This way no stress over getting to DTD on tuesday night and getting enough time at DTD.

Sorry for getting into all this, Im sure no one cares. Im "thinking out loud" in this thread..
