Cantina San Angel??

Does anyone know if this CS is open during illuminations? If it is, how is the view of the fireworks?

Yeah its open up until 9:00 when the show starts and the park officially closes. And the view is very good from some of the tables, but you have to stake those out VERY early, and people will often come up, stand right in front of you and thus, you lose the view. The tables are not right at the edge of the outdoor sitting area unfortunately.

I find it too hard to coordinate getting a good view at either there or the fish and chips place in England (which also has some good tables with a view and people also stand in front of your table and block your view). I like to head back somewhere between America and Morocco. Its less crowded in that area since its further back. I love to grab some pastries from Morrocco and just sit by the water.

We like to get some nachos from the Cantina and then sit on the steps of Mexico's pyramid. You can't always see the globe/laser bits of Illuminations, but the firework view is primo.

the view is pretty good from the CS in Mexico. But, there are bright orange umbrellas on some of the tables outside. So, you might want to either roll them up or stake out a sport away from them; because when we were watching Illuminations one of the umbrellas was kind of in my way of seeing all of the fireworks.
