We have been contemplating a cruise for some time now, but I could never give up our WDW time. This past summer, just DH and myself took the 2-night cruise to nowhere out of NYC and we loved it! We are really looking forward to our cruise next year, but I know when I am in MCO and see all the ME buses lined up getting ready to head to WDW I'll feel a little twinge of disappointment. Right now it looks like our next trip to the World will be, at the earliest, October, 2014.UGH! That seems so far away. I'll live vicariously through you, and everyone else traveling to the World, until I can go again. Who knows, maybe I'll be hooked on cruising for awhile (as long as its with Disney).
I don't know if I'll do a PTR. I've never done one before, but love reading other people's PTR and TR. If I don't do a PTR maybe I'll do a TR. I really don't know a lot about DCL; I don't know if it would be enough for a PTR. We'll see...
Thanks for your well wishes as we rode out Sandy. Thankfully, we never lost power and didn't take on any water. We did miss two days of school, though. My heart goes out to the many others that were not as fortunate as us. Some of the pictures of the east coast (and NYC) look horrible. I'm sending many prayers to those affected.

Thought I would share some very interesting news I found on the allears newsletter this morning. This is from tips folks write in to allears, so it should still go under the "rumors" category until we can get our own confirmation...
I recently booked a trip for 2013, and couldn't decide on whether to add the Water Park Fun and More option. I ended up passing on it, but as I was confirming the differences between a base ticket and one with the extra option, the Disney rep I was speaking to told me that starting in 2013, a one-day admission to DisneyQuest will be included in the Magic Your Way base ticket. When I got my reservation confirmation email shortly after the call, there was indeed DisneyQuest admission for each person in my party, without having to add the Water Park Fun and More option.
Disney giving something for free and not advertising it?

I also got that email and checked my ressie!!! WHOOP!!!
If it is just a voucher for one person, we probably won't use it. We never did use the mini-golf voucher, because it would have cost an additional $50 or so for the rest of us.

Sammie Duvall??? What in the world are you talking about? I have never heard of Sammie Duvall...am I missing something??? Our dates are likely Oct. 13-18, so we have a couple days of overlap. I would love to arrange a meet if we can match up our schedules!
On our family trip last year I had my first DISmeet and her and her hubby were on an adult only trip for their 15th Anniversary....talk about being jealous! I'm just glad that Wayne has agreed to go again. I was afraid my commando touring might scare him off!

I had found a few ideas on Pinterest for longer countdowns, and decided on this one:
Isn't that such a cool castle picture? I found it online and just printed it out on plain old copy paper. It turned out so nice that I may just have to keep it after our trip is over. We have decided to put together the paper chain when we book the trip in January or February. Until then, this little dry erase countdown will work!
