Can't wait for our cruise in April, 2004....

My DH and I were on the 4 day cruise back in Dec 2000, for our 3rd anniversary. We left the 3 kids at home. Kicked ourselves for doing so after we set sail, and saw how much funn all the kids were having. We were in the elevator one evening, and a family of 4 got on, and the parents had just picked their kids up from the Oceaneer Lab, and the kids were COMPLAINING about having to leave. the poor woman was almost in tears. She kept telling the kids how much she had missed them all day, and didn't they miss her and dad? LOL. So after much whining from the kids, she promised they could go back after dinner, she looked at me and I just shrugged my shoulders. LOL. It was nice to be on vacation without the kids, to come and go as we please, but it was real tough to see all the other families WITH their kids, and made missing them harder on me. So, we have our 2nd cruise booked for April 18, 2004. This time we are taking all 3 of the kids. I am so excited, I don't think I can wait the year...LOL.

So, can anyone tell me about the Castaway Cay club? The one for returning cruisers? Does it really give you priority boarding? And something about a reception? I just found out about all this, it is making me even more excited, and I may just book our next cruise before we get off the ship!

I am looking forward to getting to know some people over the next 12 months, and though it is still early, maybe I will meet a few people taking the cruise that we are.

I"ve read there is a separate line for check-in at port, but if the regular line is shorter to use it because there isn't a difference. Also, to let the DCL know you are a return cruiser- give them your number and there will be a gift(CURRENTLY a beach towel) IN YOUR ROOM. yOU WILL ALSO RECEIVE AN INVITATION IN YOUR ROOM FOR THE COCKTAIL PARTY. hAVE FUN!
