Well we just booked our next trip. We are staying at the WL from Dec 9-16. I can't wait to see the world at Christmas. I've been to WDW 20+ times, but because I'm in the education field, I've never been there for Christmas. My new job allows me a little more flexibility. We have already bought the tickets to the Christmas party and are looking forward to the Osbourne lights. Anyone have any other tips of "different" things we should do?

Do they sell Gingerbread Cookies at the Grand Floridian? If so, what kind (gingerbread men, gingerbread houses, ginger snaps etc. and how much?)

Don't miss the Osborne Lights at MGM, make ADR's ahead, and don't miss the lifesize gingerbread house at Grand Floridian. The decorations throughout the park are magnificent!

We also had a great time traveling thru epcat and hearing all the different traditions by the people from those countries. Did a couple each day, there is a great schedule, and the light display at Epot is fun walking thru to world showcase.

I think they sell the gingerbread shingles (the kind they use on the large scale gingerbread houses).

I got a gingerbread house last year it was about $65. They do have cookies, chocolate characters, chocolate lollipops, etc.. at the house.

I don't know what part of the education field you are in, but my wife is an elementary school teacher and we have two elementary school aged kids and the only time we go is Christmas, Spring Break and occassionally in early June and/or President's week (sometimes all in the same year :rotfl: :bounce: ) and this year we are going to MNSSHP for our second consecutive year.

You will really enjoy the Holidays at WDW. No other time of year at WDW is like the Holidays. Others have given reasons why. Just go and enjoy. The time you are going won't be as crowded as the week we always go (between Christmas and New Year's) so you can really enjoy and relax.
