Can't stay away

We were at WDW 12/4-12/14, 2005. Had no plans to go back, due to wanting to see other areas of the country, but I simply can't stand it. After speaking with a dear friend yesterday that I met on the disboards last year, before our trip, we are going back. Leaving in September, in time to see Space Shuttle Atlantis take off for STS-120. That's a dream I've had forever. To see a shuttle launch. Just beginning the planning stages, as I usually plan vacations for over a year. I'm already behind. LOL Our trip was practically perfect for those that read my trip report from last year. Looking to repeat some magic and do some new things, also.

Happy planning. IF you are excited about seeing a shuttle launch, make sure you tour the Kennedy Space Center. We did this just last month and it was really, really interesting. I highly recommend it!

Thanks. We went to Kennedy last year. I loved seeing the launch pads, but really prefer Space Center Houston at JSC. Obviously, we don't have launch pads here, so that's the only place to see them. I kind of grew up at JSC and remember one of the NASA people showing me the new thing they were going to be putting on the new spacecraft they were building. He shot a blowtorch at the thing he called a "tile" to show how well it would withhold heat. That was probably 30 years ago, or so.
