Just something that popped into my head. So you have a trip booked in the near future, that is finally approaching.

How many days out do you get to that point that you don't possibly think you can stand the wait any longer?

For me, I think it's today. We're only 10 days away, but I think today is the day that I've hit the "okay, let's go!" wall! I am going to become increasingly more useless at work, home, etc. as the next 10 days progress.

I need to start packing this weekend - packing for 5, including a toddler is going to be a big job.

Okay, just talking to myself probably, but wondering if I'm the only one who gets to this antsy point before a trip!

Mine is usually 1 or 2 months out... So close but so far. Once I'm within 2 weeks I feel like time flies by while I try to get everything ready and prepared.

We are under 3 weeks now and it is sheer torture !! :scared1: We have already done our Magic Bands and Fastpass+ , got all the ADR's lined up , online check- in ---- so --- on with the show :dance3: Hope you have a wonderful time. pixiedust:

I think mine is about 2 weeks out. This is when I start to panic about the kids catching the flu. I get super crazy about going out in public and washing my hands. I just want to throw everyone in the car while they're still well. Haha!

Mine isn't so much a set date, but once I've got everything pretty well planned (ADRs booked, plans for where to go on what day and everything) that's when I start getting antsy about it. When I don't have much else to plan for the trip I start to go a little nuts. That's why I pack last minute, because I still feel like I'm "planning!"

:thumbsup2

About 60 days out...

Wake up, get in car, set gps to disney, drive to work :confused3, and get off at work exit 970 some miles away from disney..

We got our trip last November for Christmas (we had it early as my sister was in town). The anticipation is killing me! Now we are 64 days out and it is getting worse. What is hard for me is that the kids know we are going but we cant tell them when. So I cant drive them nuts with my excitment. I just have to share it with my BF and coworkers, who are quite tired of hearing about it!

I understand this part of the wait...and we are 34 days out from departure. I'm ready to pack our bags (myself and my two boys)...we've mapped out ur plan for airport transfers, arranged DME...my checklist is getting completed. I've been visiting Disboards during my lunch and sometimes at night as well. The anticipation is tking me over more now than ever before. Especially when my oldest DS (7) who is diagnosed with autism said to his brother and I last night - "Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Pluto". I think it's contagious in my household.:hourglass

I'm just getting to the antsy point...33 days out. This is our 8th trip, so I know two things: I know what to expect, and I know to expect the unexpected! :rotfl:
For example: Our 2nd trip, and our 1st trip with the in-laws, 6 weeks out fil crushed his foot working on a bucketloader. Surgery, cast...we worked it out and he toured in a wheelchair. Didn't plan for it, but it was still a fantastic vacation.
Another example: Last year dh, fil and mil's job was to pick up dd right after school, then pick me up (I work at the next school over), then high tale it to the airport. We had about 3 hours. Turns out, fil forgot his glasses and from the parking lot of the school, coordinated about 3 of his friends to find the things and get them to him before we left town. That should have been an indication that other things might have been forgotten....sure enough when we got to the airport HE FORGOT HIS WALLET!!! Turns out, you can get through airport security sans ID, it's just a process. Wait, I'm not done!! The next morning in the DME line, mil passed out. PASSED OUT!!! Oy. Disney was fan-flippin-tastic. We got a private towncar trip to our resort.
So, this year, who the heck knows what will happen. My long winded point is, you have to learn to be flexible and be able to turn on a dime while travelling, bc there are plenty of things out of your control.
