Well that just doesn't sound healthy at all! Not on your side, but on the ex and Bane's dad, is what I mean. Also sounds like she's a little jealous, and even if she isn't, it's ALWAYS going to come across like jealousy when an ex tries to talk to people about current situations.

But honestly Jade, it does sound like Bane's dad has issues with this situation. Even if Bane's mom says he's just venting and it doesn't mean anything, it seems it means something to the dad. I'd probably work to clear it up with the dad so he stops talking about your business to Bane's ex girlfriend.

Since you said this is money from your dad that you're using, I am not saying that Bane's parents have ANY say over that money, but you at least need to get it out in the open with them.

Easier said than done, of course. But I'm rooting for you guys to get out on your own anyway, b/c life is just better that way IMO.

Walmart is amazing! I love walmart! Although I fully admit that I find Walmart down in California to be 10x better than Walmart up here so when I'm in California, I go a little nuts when I get in a Walmart but honestly, there is definitely no shame in shopping at walmart...who doesn't love awesome deals!

Yes ill owe a bit when my dads money comes in but his mom is ok waiting and its only a couple hundred. His dad wishs he could live up north and gold prospect all day and night. I have known since we moved here that they want us to take over rent here since its not such a bad place and price and that way they can live up north in some tralior and then come here and rent the room they have now from us.

Im all for that his mom and me have talked so much but shes said that isnt yet they cant go up there they both work full time.
Tho with this new job we are gona see how much we need to start payign to get him to stop well having a big mouth.
I dont mind him venting i dont. but dont tell her to call us and talk to us about it. thats what im mad about

i get paid what needs paid on monthly basis if i want to use my one year time money for this i can I also use it for christmas and my sons bday. and clothing

Dad isnt happy I know...Im not overly happy with the situation. But Im working on it if this job goes through then we'll try and take over the major part of the rent...then he cant say anything.

Do I want us on our own YES. And Im working on it..I wont go into all the details because it will start sounding like Im whining and tryin to make it sound all about me...but I think things are looking up for us.

no im on ssi for bipoler,deep depression, parinioa and what ever else they listed on the paper work. (also stuff about how my mom talked to me about some bad things when i was young and how I did what i did from 7-14 with my real dad..and then all the other stuff that messed me up.
(no my babys daddy has been in the same boat with a job as capt bane, hes been laid off of two really good jobs in the last year. tho now he works walmart and paid me what he owed..well a big part out his check. now he will start paying monthly again but i have never counted on his money for the bills that just isnt smart with him. Tho i have seen the lay offs for my self and that just sucks for every one around)

i think it was called something like mental phycolagical stuff.idk i talk to the ppl im supose to i take the pills im supose to and things seem to be good. except some days.. and today well small things can flip me on my head I was so happy nothing wrong with me till that call.

Sounds like you really need your October trip! Be careful when the trip is over... It always sucks to go back to the real world!!! My life is pretty good, but I still get really depressed after my Disneyland trips! At least you have another one to look forward to in December!

Jade, they are right about not worrying about what others say!! It is hard to ignore the gripes and digs though. We always get (you always go to Disneyland, or You're going to Disneyland Again?). My husband and I figure that you have to take the plunge once in awhile, if you wait for the optimum time (ie. perfect finances, life changes, etc), then you may never go. I may worry about paying for the trips, but I've never regretted going. It gives me something to remember fondly when times are most difficult. We're here for you!!

Hey we're not rich either but I don't think going to Disneyland is that far out of our spectrum. When we bought a house and the kids started getting bigger we didn't feel justified in going. But it's been 10 years. I kind of think of our trip as being in the lowest class cabins of the Titanic- we can still have fun, perhaps even more fun than the Grand California residents who fly in and have every meal at the park. I'm gonna try anyway.
I think you're doing allright, you're taking the bus and staying at HOJO's, smart decisions. And you have a young child who appreciates it so much. It's worth your dime.

With all due respect to you Bane, your Father has NO right to discuss your personal life with your ex girlfriend!! I would be LIVID in my DBF's family discussed anything regarding us with his ex. That needs to be rule number 1.
I know you've been looking hard for a job and things will get better when you do, maybe that will be the time when you and Jade start looking for your own place. In the meantime, let your Dad know that he is not allowed to discuss your finances with anyone other than YOU and your DF Jade, that is the rudest thing I've ever heard!!
As someone else said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but there are lines as to whom it can be shared with.

Jade, Bane, I hope you two have an amazing vacation with your son, and I really hope you guys can get AP's!!!! We had the BEST year with our AP's and no one can take that away from us, we have pictures and pin collections to remind us and we are so glad we did it!! Now, we are taking at least a year off from DL to get rid of some of our debt but we are using a trip in 2010 as our reward. We have to pay down xxxx amount of our debt and then we will take our trip, hopefully we will pay it sooner so we can go back sooner! LOL
Anyway, my point it, don't let them get you down. They are jealous that there is something that gives you so much joy in your life. Enjoy your trip and hang in there. Capn Bane will get a job and you guys will be happy!!

see i knew we were going to need a brake from disney soon but I wanted to try to do a dec trip before we did (we had a blast last year but missed a few things that we wish we wouldnt have lol)
so eathier we go this dec with the oct trip. or we go next year lol so see by going this year we will garinte we arent going next year lol

if we go sooner then 2012 it wont be till 2010 or 11.
Im prety sertion this job will work out and things will get much better.

I actually have experienced (somewhat) what you're referring to, in a way. No one outwardly says anything to me, but I imagine they think we're blowing wads of cash on DL trips. However, no one knows our financial situation either. If they did, they'd probably be horrified lol.

What really irritates me though, are the comments I get (from ONE friend in particular) about my family and I staying at a Disney property. Although she has no idea what my financial status is, she cannot help but to go on and on how we waste tons of money staying on campus. I have told her time and time again, that for us it is worth the cost, and I have never once complained. I guess it just bugs her that we "waste" hundreds of dollars, when she thinks the off-campus hotels are better. Very odd. I hate it when people scold me about how I spend MY money.

ahh yes see we want to stay on site but decied theway to do two trips this year is by doing hojos. still get grate view and stuff but hay we do want to stay on site and my dh is already saying when we go in 2012 if thats when we wait to go then we will try to stay on site.

but even with my finaces if i can happen to scrap it togetehr to go then boom im gona go. My son loves it and all year we do nothing else (like day outtings or anything, movies or anything else) when my dads money comes in i decied to just go and have fun even if the rest the year will be tight. he knows his bday and christmas are gona be disneyland so not to excpect much from us.

he has a huge wish list but knows he wont get it all

I totally understand what you are going through. I have heard more than I want from my mother about how ridiculous it is to take my DD to DLR. She will be 2 in a few weeks. My mother says her dad and I spoil her and she won't remember any of it. This coming from my mom who could not afford to take us anywhere as kids. One year we went camping in the wilderness, the one and only vacation we ever took. I have to reassure her periodically that it is important to me that my child can experience fun family vacations. I am not rich by any means, I am a full time college student. But Dbf and I share expenses for our trips. My friends looked at me as if I was crazy when I told them I was taking Bella to DLR. They know me well enough to understand that regardless of what they say, I AM GOING! I do not let people tell me what to do ( I do listen to advice though). So , I would go on your trip and have loads of fun. ONly you know what is best for your family. Enjoy!

Just ignore them. I have had a Premium Annual at Disneyland for 16 years and this year I have a Premium at WDW too! Hey, I bet you don't bug them about what they do!
I love Disney, I think I was born loving Disney. Now, I have properly brainwashed my kids too! ( that is my job as a good parent.) If they don't want to go to Disney with you tell them to keep it to themselves! I go all the time with my friends. ( I even give passes as b-day gifts!- not Premiums! ) Hey , maybe if you get one of them a pass, the rest will follow. If not, there are lots of folks here that understand you and your madness!
I am totally sorry they are being like that. Just don't tell them anymore. Both of you will be happier! Especially you! Good luck!
