Can't see smilies or photos!

Sorry I know this isn't strictly related to DLP but I can't see smilies or photos on the boards and haven't been able to for a few days. I thought it was a problem on the board but it seems it's just me. I can see a few smilies but for most of them (and for photos too) I just see a little white box with a red cross in.

I know several of you are technically minded (which I'm definitely not!) so wondering if anyone would know why I'm having this problem?

Rhiannon, sorry not sure of the cause or fix but I remember when I was on dial up if connection was slow I had similar problem.

Hmm... you could try clearing your cache? If you're using Internet Explorer, it's in Tools --> Internet Options --> Delete Files. If that doesn't work, could it be your firewall? I have had the occasional problem where mine has updated itself and then immediately afterwards I'm getting loads of random broken images - as you are describing with the red crosses. Try fiddling about with the ad blocker on your firewall!

If you're using Norton Internet Security, I might be able to help you out more (that's what I've got)!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions - nothing seemed to have worked, but then I've just logged on and they're all back!! Not sure whether it's just a coincidence but I'm happy either way!
