And as Fritz in the Enchanted Tiki Room and as Buff in Country Bear Jamboree.
Thurl was a genuine treasure!
And as Fritz in the Enchanted Tiki Room and as Buff in Country Bear Jamboree.
Aerosmith? Rod Sterling? Are they too obvious?
Does the anamatronic robin from Mary Poppins' "Spoonful of Sugar" appearing in Carousel of Progress' spring scene count?
We took a tour (Keys to the Kingdom, I think?) And I believe the tour guide said that one of the singing statues in the graveyard sequence of The Haunted Mansion was the same guy who sang "You're a mean one Mr. Grinch." And now I hear it every single time I go on that ride.
I really missWalter Cronkite's voice on Spaceship Earth! His voice and the timing of the music gave me shivers every time we rounded the corner and saw the earth from outer space on that ride! Judy Densch, whom I love on other things, does not work for me on this ride....

Here's something I bet most don't know:
The singing busts in the Haunted Mansion's graveyard scene are performed by a singing group
called "The Mellowmen." (Thurl Ravenscroft, as I referenced in a post above, is the bass singer of the group.)
The Mellowmen are also famous for singing the first season's opening credits to none other than,
"Gilligan's Island!"
If you want to compare the voices, HERE is the HM's singing busts audio,
and HERE is the first season Gilligan Theme Song.
And, HERE is another vintage recording of The Mellowmen.
That's cool. The one from the film?
No mention of Stupid Judy (Jamie Lee Curtis) from Ellen's Air Conditioned Adventure yet?!
AND...
Michael (Kramer) Richards as the first caveman in the film.
Of the five "stars" in the Ellen Energy show, only Jamie Lee Curtis and Michael Richards
are NOT "playing themselves."
As mentioned, JLC is playing the part of Stupid Judy, and is really a "featured character."
Michael Richards, who just makes a very brief appearance, has a role that
can truly be considered a "cameo."
