Can't make Thanksgiving Day Dinner reservations

Has anyone else noticed that Thanksgiving is grayed out when trying to make reservations at certain restaurants? I want Captain's Grille for brunch and I can't do it. I looked at a few other places and same thing.

I would suggest calling. My travel agent made my ADR's for me this morning and she said that my Thanksgiving Day reservation was made but not showing up on my MDE account yet because it was a "specialty reservation" I am not sure what that means but I am thinking you would have better luck calling in for that one.

Yes! Had this exact same issue with TH dinner. Not showing any lunch or dinner times. First time this has ever happened to me at Thanksgiving. At the Plaza is showing nothing in the afternoon the whole week..very strange.

Yes, I had same trouble. I had to call. Was able to get Tusker House for lunch and California Grill for dinner over the phone even though they weren't showing online.

Hmm, good to know. I booked my ADR's for the beginning of our trip today but have a split stay so can't do Thanksgiving day until this Friday. Had absolutely no trouble last year booking our Thanksgiving day reservations, wonder why it's weird for some people this year? Guess I'll call if I have trouble.......I hate calling

Hmmm....you don't suppose they're thinking of some kind of premium for dining on Thanksgiving day? Might be as simple as requiring 24 hours cancellation or you pay the full price (like HDDR does.)

I am not sure. I was debating about switching but don't want to be on the phone again. I keep checking the online system but nothing has really changed.

Yes, I can make everything past Thanksgiving.

It was very odd....Tusker House was available for everyday around before and after Thanksgiving but it was only giving breakfast options on the drop down menu. Very strange morning.

We decided to do Trails End. We go there every trip so it's kind of like visiting family lol.
