Can't leave her alone for a few minutes....

So I took my DM to Sears today because she wanted to get a small jewelry box for the lady who is like the "other Grandma" and lives with "our" triplets (my Moms grandkids). So she finds what she wants - I say - "OK, I'll run upstairs and see if they have that pillow I've been looking for" - I take a bit long, because I had to wait in line for my purchase. So, I get back to her and she says "look at this wonderful lavender Lands End turtleneck I bought myself" I said, "Mom you shouldn't be buying yourself clothes before Christmas." arrrggh! I bought her 2 mock turtlenecks at Nordstroms last week! (one pink - one lavender!)

She must have forgotten about the family story (legend actually) how one of my older brothers bought himself a soldering iron just before Christmas - & that was the one great gift that my parents had bought him!
