there is no question that they are overpriced for the dinner, but i guess Disney keeps getting away with it because people do seem to love HDDR. When i consider it as a show, for which I would have to buy tickets, etc, the price does not seem as bad. I'm still considering Dxdp vs ddp. If i keep Dx, i will definitely keep HDDR but maybe let SoA go. thanks everyone!
For our family it is not the cost but the fact that we did not find the shows engaging or entertaining. And the food was at best "meh" as PP said. If you are on DX there are many great signature restaurants that my children enjoy and I also mentioned previously La Nouba is a big hit with our family.
I don't think it came off that your kids are spoiled at all, sounds like you are trying to plan a trip the whole family will enjoy and make the best use of your time and funds. I understand the moves all too well, my kids are constantly having to adjust to new cultures and people. I will say this it has made our family much closer but it is difficult especially for preteens and teenagers. Good luck, I hope you and your family have a wonderful vacation.
