We love the Hilton Bonnet Creek and have planned a trip to come down Oct 17-21Anyone know what's going on that they have no rooms available? I can't get into the Waldorf either. I'm so disappointed. Now I don't know where to stay. I got some great rates at other Hilton properties but I don't know how they compare to Bonnet Creek. I tried LMT which has always worked in the past and they didn't pop up there either. Any suggestions?

That's strange- we booked HBC just last week for October 19-21st. We used a teacher rate. Maybe a convention opened up right after we booked?

Try Dolphin/Swan- I think they were a bit more than HBC or on par.

First off, convention hotels are established a long time in advance--like a year--so it probably isn't that.

If you go in to the Hilton web site and enter your dates it will show No Availability. Click the link that says"View available dates". It will show you that Oct 16-20 is available for a 4 nt stay ($179). If you then change the duration to 3 nts, you will see that Oct 17-20 is available ($159/nt). So pretty much Sunday night is the issue.

What is odd though is that if you just check you availability for 1 nt, then you will see that Friday and Saturday are available ($109/nt) but not Thursday!

So bottom line, right now you can book for 17-20 and stay somewhere else the last night, or book 16-20 for 4 nt stay. As for the rates shown, don't know if they are "best available" or what.

Anyway, hope that helps. You may be able to make something work. If not, the Hilton in DD is open.

Thanks. I looked at that. Very strange. I may just book Thursday through sunday just to be safe. Not do the best rate so i can cancel if needed.

Normally I wouldn't have a problem checking out a day earlier and stay at the airport but our flight home is Monday afternoon and I had hoped to spend some time in their lazy river before we headed north.

We stayed at DD Hilton last October and were a bit disappointed with that one compared to BC. It's an option though.

I went ahead and booked the 17-20 for now and hopefully I can add on that last day before we head down.
