I don't know WHAT I was thinking... :confused3 We have tickets for Mickey's Halloween Party for October 5th. I called yesterday to get dinner reservations....and was not able to get anything close...It was my fault..I know better! As soon as my 180 day mark comes for our February trip..I am making all our dinner reservations...Especially for the night of the Pirates and the Princess Party! We only have three of us going in October and nine of us going in February....!!

Yeah -- that's tough. ADRs are booked way ahead by most.
Have you tried Kona Cafe? That is a good restaurant with EASY access to MK. We did that one year for MNSSHP.

I'm so sorry this happened to you.

We couldn't get LTT for MNSSHP last year. I booked at the 90 day mark. I didn't realize I could make a ressie before that date. LTT was booked solid.
Crystal Palace was only available at 4pm or after 8pm.

Could you try to book at Chef Mickey and then walk to MK afterward? Just an idea.

I second the above poster's idea to go to Kona. It's just a monorail ride from the MK. We ate there before MVMCP and it worked out fine.

Another choice would be Grand Floridian Cafe.

I know how you feel. I had all my ADRs all set, had Liberty Tree on Oct. 5 and everything. Then we added on another person and had to lose our LTT!! But I was lucky and got the very first dinner seating for Crystal Palace that day, so it worked out.
I agree with what has already been said, try Kona Cafe, or perhaps another restaurant in the monorail resorts if Kona is booked. If you really want to stay in the MK, then by all means keep trying for one of the restaurants there (you might catch a cancellation), but go ahead ahead and make a ressie for Kona or something similar just in case you can't get in. that way you'll be assured of a good meal without having to go to far away from the MK. :thumbsup2

I'm sorry you couldn't get anything. You could keep trying for a cancellation.

Just an FYI but they are already booking LTT (and Tony's I think) for the Pirates and Princess Party so call NOW. It's a special early ADR since you are attending the party just like they do for MNSSHP/MVMCP guests.

Do you mean that even though my 180 day mark isn't until August 24th, because it is a special event,(Pirates and Princess Party", I can book my dinner reservations now? I didn't know that.....I'll check into that... :teeth:

When I called for the October 3rd dinner reservations, the GF and Chef Mickey's was already booked too...The CM didn't mention Kona's....

Yes, that's right but only at LTT and I think Tony's. You'd have to wait till 180 days for the rest of the restaurants.

Let's see, there's Chef Mickey's, Concorse Steakhouse, California Grill, 1900 Park Fare, Kona Cafe, and Ohana's.

Did you try the Plaza or Tony's at MK?

Good luck!

This happened to us last year! The people we were going with were really indecisive and we ended up calling at like 2 months away from the party to make our ADRs. We couldn't even find any ADRs available at anything at the GF, Poly, or CR for before the party. We ended up just eating candy until my kids actually begged us to stop at Caseys for a Hot Dog. This year when I called to buy my tickets for the party, right after I was done I booked Liberty Tree Tavern. I'd call now and try to book Kona or maybe WCC if you book a little earlier to allow for travel time. Keep checking for cancellations too! pixiedust:

I don't understand. Is it just nights of the special parties that reservations can be made. How does the cast member that you are making the ADRS with know that you actually have tickets for that nights event.

I already have our ADR's for our party night, I was just wondering.

When you call to purchase your MNSSHP tickets (or MVMCP), they ask you if there's anything else they can do for you once you've bought them. You need to tell them that you'd like to make reservations for that night at LTT.
I found it out on Disboards after the fact and because they book fast there wasn't anything available there. So I figured we'd wait a little bit for our friends. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting too long and there wasn't any place available.

I'm really looking forward to this year. The characters at LTT are dressed for Halloween and my daughters are going to love it! I bought our tickets the day they went on sale and booked LTT right afterwards.

You know, I find it odd how they do some of the ADRs.... I asked about LTT the night we are doing MNSSHP and they said nothing was available for a party of 2.... well... the next day I read on here that someone called and got a table for 4 that same night.

:confused3

So I guess if you have time, you could call daily to see if anything comes available. You might want to get a backup just in case, but you could keep calling up until the day you want the ADR.

Have you checked WCC?

We have LTT booked for a late lunch, but we might skip that and just do a CS somewhere. Still up in the air...

I think we will just end up eating counter service that night....and really that's ok...My main goal is to have my granddaughter experience the Halloween Party that night, anyway. She always wanted to visit Disney during Halloween time..and this was the perfect opportunity...

Have you tried the Plaza Restraurant. Not too fancy, but a nice place to sit down and eat a relaxing meal. Though they are not open during the MNSSHP, we just booked the last seating of the evening, which was 4:50PM, which still worked since they let you in at 4:00PM for the party night. We were going to do the Plaza on our party night (Oct. 24), but changed it to Kona Cafe. I booked a table for 8 just this week at Kona's for 5:20 with no problem. We also canceled our table for 8 at the Plaza. Since you are there during the end of the free dining time, is probably the reason you're having such a difficult time. When we go, folks on the DDP paid for it, so won't be as crazy. We are there for the free dining, but mid-August, then back for mid-October and have the DDP/DVC.

When I called for ADRs for the 9/15 MNSSHP I was told the only MK restaurants taking dinner reservations where LTT, CP & Tony's. The Plaza was not available for dinner reservations for that day. Maybe something has changed since then, but that is what I was told about 10 days ago.

They may have meant that those 3 are the only ones open and taking ADRs during the party. When I called to reserve the Plaza, I asked what the last seating time was and was given 4:50PM. They stop taking people at 5:00PM as that is their official closing time and they are not open during the party. Since you can usually get into the part starting at 4:00PM, I figured 4:50PM would work. Just call and ask what the latest seating is available at the Plaza for that evening.

We're planning on attending MNSSHP on 10/02 and I was able to get Concourse Steakhouse...it wasn't my first choice as I would have prefered something in the MK, but it's one of the few places that was close-by and still available.

Thanks for clearing that up, I didn't realize that they would seat that late. Would it be the lunch menu then or dinner, does anyone know?

How about having a TS lunch instead, then eating counter service during the party if you get hungry? That's what we're doing.
