I was wandering in 2008 with the deluxe dp and people having 3 ts per day will there be enough adr's available? I know its already a concern especially during free dining.
I think so....I don't think the majority of people will want to pay the extra money for the deluxe. We are, because with kids wanting to do as many character meals as possible, it seems like the better deal....although it is a whole lot more expensive than the basic dining.
I think a lot of the people who purchase deluxe are those that already enjoy more 2-3 TS meals a day - so no real change in adr numbers there. Plus it seems that some people will be dropping the regular DDP and won't be eating many or any TS meals at all. I think in the end it will be a wash. However, still make those ADRs as close to the 180 day window as possible to ensure you get the locations/times you want.
What they said. Plus, I don't think most guests will do 3 TS meals a day. In my opinion, it's more likely that the DXDDP people will do more 2 credit dinners, ie, signature dining, dinner shows and room service. So signature restaurants might be harder to get into, but the rest will be a wash.
Remember also that a lot of former DDP users are upset about the removal of the appetizer and gratuity from the standard plan, and have stated that they will no longer use it.
