Can't find my tickets

I ordered tickets from Maple Leaf Tickets before the price increase. I received them and I added them to MDE account. So they are all set up on there and I can see them, but now I can't find the actual tickets. I probably put them some place for safe keeping, but I have looked where I thought I would have put them and they aren't there. Do I need to worry about finding them or since they are already linked it doesn't matter? I'm just a little stressed about this.

In case there's a problem (which there shouldn't be -- but best to be prepared) you should bring to WDW the CC item from your CC statement and/or any purchase info from Maple Leaf. This will assist the CM helping you to trace back your ticket purchase in the least amount of time.

I have searched and I can't find them anywhere. I really have no idea where they are, they could have accidently been thrown away. I do have the e-mail confirmations from Maple Leaf and I have my credit card statement that has the purchase on it. Will that be enough info to help me if there are issues? I will keep looking for them, but I don't have much hope in finding them. Since the tickets are already linked to my account, nobody else can use them right? Say somebody found them and tried to link them to another account, is that something I should be concerned with?

If the emails from Maple Leaf show a transaction or purchase #, plus your CC statement, that should be enough. I don't know if someone else could use the actual tickets, but the fact that you linked your tickets to MDE would be proof that those tickets were yours. I know that UnderCover Tourist won't accept return of tickets already linked to MDE. Perhaps Maple Leaf has the same return rule. So that avenue would be a no-go. You could call Maple Leaf and ask their guidance about preparing to handle a potential incident. Maybe they have proof of purchase they could send you. I'm guessing here.

If they are linked in your MDE account, that is all you need. Even if you have a problem with your MB, you can go to GS and they can pull up your MDE, to either fix the issue or give you new tickets, if you want them.

I equate this to airline "tickets" now -- when was the last time anyone had an actual ticket to fly? It's not the physical ticket that is important, it's the information in the system.

I contacted Maple Leaf and here's the response I received:

Hi Vicki,

Since you have them linked Disney would be able to provide you replacement tickets. That's what's so great about the new system. You should be all set. We are also here anytime you need us as well.

So hopefully everything will work out ok. I just can't believe I lost them, I usually know where everything is.

I still can't find my tickets and I think they might have been thrown away accidentally. I called Disney ticketing today to see what they said. The person I talked to confirmed that we won't actually need the physical tickets, which I already knew but I had a couple other questions. What if somebody else finds my tickets and uses them? How can I prevent that? The CM said she couldn't cancel and reissue new tickets because I didn't buy them straight from Disney. She asked me where I was from and I told her Indiana. She said that it's unlikely that somebody in Indiana would take the tickets to Disney and try to use them. She told me if anybody calls and wants information about the tickets they have to know my name, address, and phone number or Disney won't release any information about the tickets. I asked if MDE would say anything if my tickets are used. She said the website used to, but she was unsure if it still did because they are always doing updates. But once I arrive if I have problems that GS will be able to help and issue new tickets if needed. So I ask all you DIS ticket experts, did I get correct information from this CM? I know they don't always give out the right information.
I also unactivated my tickets on MDE and reported them lost. It says that the tickets can't be used for park entrance or anything else until I say they have been found and I reactivate them. They are still linked and I tried making PF selections with them and it still worked. I am going to keep them inactive until our trip, and reactivate them the night before we leave. Is this a good idea?

If someone else found them, they can't add them to their MDE. I ordered tickets from another company, not Maple Leaf. One of the tickets had already been added to an account so it wouldn't let me do anything with it. It told me that they were already linked to another account. They are in the process of overnighting me another one. Someone must had added it and then returned it, despite their no return after linking it clause. I'm just glad we have a couple of days cushion before we need to make our fast passes.
I don't know about someone being able to physically take them to the parks and using them. I don't know of a reason that they couldn't but like the rep said, not a big probability. I don't blame you for being nervous about it though. Hopefully deactivating them makes it so no one can use them.
I hope you find them. Let us know how it turns out.
