Big bake sale at DS's school this weekend and I was planning to make a dozen cakes including bundt coffee cakes. But my copper pan has gone missing! the only one I could find in my closet is the one in the photos which feels like plastic. I know there's plastic-like bakeware but it tends to be heavy and opaque while this one is shiny and relatively light. Does anyone recognize what the pan in the photos might be? Is it a jello mold? There are no marks on it anywhere. TIA!

It looks like a microwave pan, but its hard to tell for sure from the picture.

It could be one of those silicon pans that are oven proof but if I wasn't sure I wouldn't use it

I would also guess a microwave pan.

That my dear is a jello mold

You layer colors of jello into that to make a rainbow like effect.

Mix one box at a time, pour it in, let it set very firm, when you add the next layer it has to be cool, not to melt the layers already in place.

It ususally takes the entire day to make, between letting each layer set firm.

Thank you! Jello mold sounds right, it's not as heavy as the microwaveable items I have. At some point I'll make the multi-layer jello.
Meanwhile the bundt pan is nowhere to be found :confused3
