can't find magic bands - any alternative to get into park?

We moved last fall and I can NOT find half of our magic bands (why just half? Great question! I'm sure they'll turn up the week after we get home.)

We're going straight from the airport to MK, and our new bands are at the resort since this was a last minute trip. I have bands for 3 of us but not my one daughter. Is there any way to get her into the park without one, so she can at least get a new, fun one to use that day? Or do we have to go to the resort (CBR) to get our bands?

Go to Guest services and get cards. Or buy new bands in giftshop?

Just go to Guest Relations outside the park entrance, they will give you a ticket/card. I was going to suggest you buy a magic band at the airport but the Disney store is closed.

Can you use an old MB?

U can also order new band online and ship to ur home or u can call and have a ticket card mailed to ur home

If you have time before your trip - and you don't mind paying for a new one - I'd buy now and have it shipped to home so you have it before the trip. This would save the time at Guest Relations before entering the park. But - if you don't want to pay for a MB or don't have the time for the mailing of either the MB or a physical card - the free card from Guest Relations works just fine. I can't speak for crowds/lines right now - but I've waited at Guest Relations outside MK for 20-40 minutes sometimes in the morning. I would really try to avoid that. I'd even be tempted to buy a MB at the gift shop at the TTC over waiting at Guest Relations. (I'm guessing they sell them)

Swinging by the resort could take a lot of time..... so I would not do that if that was not part of your plan in the first place.

If you have time before you visit, I would suggest you just order a new one for her as @kwdw and @Alynw suggested from Shop Disney and link it to her ticket in the MDE app or via the MDE web interface. As others like @Gehrig1B have suggested you could also stop at GS to get a RF ID ticket but expect a possible long wait depending on when you stop there.

Direct link to the MB listing (just use caution as you may end up buying more than just the 1 for your daughter) There are more than 130 choices currently available. The basic colors start at $14.99 and then you get to all the different themed one.

Make breakfast dining reservations at one of the Magic Kingdom resorts, buy your magic band at the resort, and then walk/monorail it over.

Sure easy as long is it is still listed as active in your MDE profile and is assigned to you. You can't just use any old random MB.

Also MBs have a battery that is not replaceable that is used for things like attraction interactions that provide unique guest interactions. But you can use any tapstiles such as the park entries and even to pick ride pictures by taping when you exit select attractions.

We have a single day planned in October at HS (staying off-site) before a multi day stay in November. We've also moved and only some bands to be found! I'm hoping that our November bands will arrive early enough but if not I may just purchase some as don't want to waste a rope drop minute!

Update: this is what we ended up doing on Friday. Found a 1st gen magic band and it was still active, worked fine for my daughter to tap into the park. I was nervous about the battery but it was a-ok.

Glad you were able to find an old band.

FYI - the battery in a gen 1 band is most actually dead. However, for anything where you touch the band to a Mickey Head, the band does not need (or use) a battery.
