I booked ASMo instead of a mod or deluxe so that we can do some special character meals. I wanted something before MVMCP on 12/9 and NOTHING! No Park Fare, no Chef Mickeys, no Ohana, no CP.

I looked for the 10th, nothing there either :(

I just want a fun character meal for the kids. I am not a breakfast person thats why I wasnt looking at a breakfast place. I guess if I had to, I could try Ohana for breakfast. Or we did the breakfast at the Grosvenor before. (Still discounted with the entertainment book or restaurant.com or something???)

How about Chef Mickey's at around 11am one day? It is technically breakfast then, but you can make it your lunch.

You are going during a very busy week. It is very popular with the DVC crowd and different INternet groups. The 12/9 MVMCP is well attended and things are booked quickly.

Did you try LTT too? Keep trying, people's plans do change and make a plan B. :santa: Enjoy the MVMCP!

I got a dinner reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern for 12/9 for Dinner. Keeping calling each day and you should be able to get in.

Colinsmom, I should have said that I am not a breakfast food eater... Sad as it is, I actually hate breakfast foods! I do have an Ohana ressie on the 10th but not until 9pm. Thats kinda late but I guess we could snack while in the park. We only have 2 nights at Disney due to taking a cruise first (7n cruise). We are only doing Disney because I already bought tickets for MVMCP and I hate to throw away $250! I guess I can stick with Ohanas and then also try and get Chef Mickeys for breakfast the day we leave. I will call tomorrow and try and get LTT too for dinner on the 9th.

And yes, I know Ohanas is breakfast for a character meal but I sooo want to try the dinner thing they do!

Won't the new Tusker House character restaurant be open by then? Or is that characters at breakfast only?

Try getting a very late lunch reservation. We have done this several times when everything is all booked. We have never not been allowed to order from the dinner menu in this circumstance especially since it switches to dinner while you are there. Also as was mentioned by Kevin on the Podcast a few weeks ago....Ask if there is ANY table available.. If one is available that is close to the size of your party..Take it. YOU Will not be turned away simply because you have a different party size than it shows on the reservation. We did this a few weeks ago at Le Cel. Worked perfectly. I am of course speaking of a difference of only 2 or 3 people - not a big difference. With all of the double and triple bookings that many people are doing, some of us who do not have the luxury of booking 180 days out have to get creative. Be creative and keep trying. I have never not been able to get a ressie that I wanted. KNOCK ON WOOD!:thumbsup2

Maybe you could do Garden Grill at Epcot before hand. It has Mickey, Pluto and chip n Dale.

The thing is I will have tickets for the MVMCP on the 9th. And free tickets into MK on Monday. I dont think those are hoppers as we are getting them from my brother who gets them from ESPN (owned by Disney). So I will only be able to get into MK. Actually, on the 9th, I wont have tickets into MK and I think all the ressies end early for MVMCP right? Oh well, guess I will just keep trying. Either that or just upgrade to a deluxe and do TS :)

The first time I went to O'Hana was for a 9pm reservation and it was amazing! There weren't 10million people there so we really got excellent service, the food was still hot and super tasting and they still had all the activities for children going on but since there weren't so many people there then, the kids got really into it and could really have a great time. I know 9 seems late but it was really a blessing in disguise for us!
