we have just 4 days to to go and
iv been thinking about wherether booking inventions for the first night was a good ider or if i should move it to tuseday???
just thinking that my DD3 might be tired after travelling ect ect

I don't know if this is any help but we went to Café Mickey the day we arrived as it was dd 4th birthday but the kids were so tired (except dd as she has so much energy I wish i could have some ) by the time we had checked in, sorted room and got there the kids were so grumpy I wish we had moved it to the next day. They had been up since 1am and had a couple of naps in the car on the way to Eurostar but not enough to make up what they had missed.
It depends on how far you have to travel and how much sleep your dd has had. Unless it's a special occasion then i think on our next big family one the day we arrive it will be something quicker like Annette's. HTH

We are going Inventions first night, but then we are travelling by Eurostar, and staying in the Premier Inn at Kings Cross the night before, so not really getting up any earlier than normal.

But we loved Inventions so much last time, we are eating there on our last night too this time!

We normally have our Character meal on the second day. So it gives us a day to settle in and to recover from the traveling and the excitement of being there. On the first night we normaly eat in our hotel.

I agree. Maybe go for something handy like Annettes or meal in your hotel the 1st night. The little ones always get so tired after travel (and me I must say!). Save Inventions for the Tuesday and you all will probably enjoy it more.

We opted for annettes on our first night because it was quick and we were all tired. We had been up since 4am. I think if we had got up later we might have booked a character meal for the first night. We went to cafe mickey near the end of our trip but we had already seen most of the characters in the scrums in the park which we wouldn't have had to do if we had already been to cafe mickey.

I usually forget about first night for a special meal, as travelling tires me after a very early morning start. 2nd night is usually our character meal night - but it really depends if you've had to get up early to travel to DLP that day. For example, if I had taken a late morning local flight, I'd consider doing a special meal in the Village/one of the hotels that night, as a good start to the holiday .
