We are leaving in a little while for our first trip to Wdw! We are going to try and book a bounce back for our August trip while we are there. We have decided to try a deluxe. I was wondering which deluxe has the best transportation? We really liked the look of YC and had decided on getting 2 connecting rooms there, but then I noticed that the two bedroom villa at BLT is almost the exact same price as the two rooms at YC. (Assuming both are available.) Looking at photos online, I also like WL, BC, & AK. (GF and Poly are out because 2 rooms at those resorts is just too expensive...even with a discount). Thoughts? Would you go for the two rooms at YC for the walking ability and SAB? Or is it better to have the extra space at BLT? I am concerned about transportation times from all the deluxe resorts as I have heard they share buses and it takes a long time to get from one place to another, (which is why I liked the idea of walking.) Of course, I could save a bit and go to WL or AK, but I loose the ability to walk. So...which deluxe would you stay at? Thank you. Oh, and there are 6 of us...hence the need for two connecting rooms.

You have some great choices and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. AKL is beautiful, but the only mode of transportation is buses. We didn't find it bad at all, but some think it's a hassle and that the resort is too far out from everything. WL is an awesome resort with boat service to MK as well as to the CR where you can hop on the monorail. We have always had great bus service from the WL with no complaints. YC is great since it's within walking distance to Epcot and DHS, and also has the option of the boat if you don't feel like walking. BLT is great for MK as you can walk or monorail. All of them are great resorts, but if you want alternate modes of transportation, BLT, YC, or WL would be great choices.

With all of that said, booking 2 rooms and requesting connecting rooms is just a request and is not guaranteed. The CM may tell you they are guaranteed, but that is ony the case when there is only one adult with several kids that will not fit in one room (and even then, some people have reported being in that situation and not getting connecting rooms). Disney sees it from the view point that the adults can split up if they have to, putting one adult in each room. If being together in one room is important to you, I would go with BLT; otherwise, any of them are great resorts. Good luck deciding.

Thank you. I have thought about that. I know it is a gamble and that we might not get our connecting rooms. At WL our only option is the deluxe suite so we would be together there for sure as well as in BLT. It isn't supposed to be really busy that week in August (23-30) so I was hoping that means we shouldn't have too much of a hard time getting us together...but yes, I know it is kind of rolling the dice. Thanks for your help.

You're welcome :). We've never stayed in a deluxe room at the WL, but we have stayed at the WL twice (with one of those stays being CL) and if that is an option (since the deluxe rooms have access to CL), I would definitely consider the WL. WL CL is great and the CMs are awesome. I also love how the seating is arranged around the railing with a great view of the lobby below. I'm sure you'll have a great trip no matter which resort you choose, but CL at the WL is hard to beat, IMO ;).

We love the Epcot resorts for the convenience to two parks and have never had any trouble with the buses going to the other 2 parks. We love the convenience of a great dinner in Epcot each night. Have you considered renting points (if available) for a 2 bedroom villa at the BC or BW. We stay in the villas every trip and love them. We will be going back the the BCVs in Aug. and can't wait.

We LOVE the YC/BC and the ability to walk to Epcot, close proximity to DHS, and also to be able to enjoy the Boardwalk area anytime we want. The only minor, minor thing I'm not crazy about is that sometimes the busses stop at SEVERAL other resorts first so the trip can be a little long. Also, I do wish they ran a bus to the front of Epcot because while it's nice to be so close to the WS, it's a fair hike from there to the front in the morning and we are often there in major heat, so it can wear us out early on, especially my youngest. Not a big deal though.

Thank you! I guess I could do BWI in the deluxe room too. Looks like that also sleeps 6. I have heard it is really loud at BW. Is that true? Both I guess are CL. Do the suites/deluxe rooms only come in club level?

Would you be spending more time at the MK or Epcot? We liked being able to walk to Epcot for dinner - we had the dining plan that trip and booked Epcot most nights. However I think nothing beats staying within walking distance of the MK. You mostly have to go with your heart on that one - both are great choices. I'd personally be more excited for BLT but that isn't necessarily based on logic - if you know what I mean - ha ha!
