Planning to go to WDW May 22-May 28, 2006. Pretty much have decided Value resort, 7 day PH for all 4, MYW Dining, where to eat ect. I absolutely can NOT make up my mind about which resort to choose!

Last trip (2001) stayed Aug 25 to Aug 30 at ALSMO, Was myself, DH, and DD (3). We all loved the resort, the themeing, everything. Brought home tons of pics of the resort and of DD at the resort. (Also brought home a souvenier too who will turn 3 during our next trip, but that's a whole different story!) :rolleyes1

I would love to stay at ALSMO again, except my oldest DD (7) wants to stay at POP. I do see the advantages, newer resort, doesn't share buses, nice themeing, etc. For some reason, it just doesn't feel as Disney to me as ALSMO. But I'm stuck because I want to honor DD's (7) her wishes but I also think my DD (2) would probably be blown away by all the characters and theming at ALSMO. And yes, also because I deep down secretly like ALSMO better.

I guess 1 option would be to book 2 seperate packages with the Dining plan and buy a 4 day PH with one and 3 day PH for the stay at the other resort but how cost effective would that be? I have figured the food cost out MYW vs actually purchasing meals but the MYW is a much better deal for us, so booking seperately is not really an option. Any ideas, comment, suggestions?

P.S. Please don't flame me for not letting my DD (7) pick. I feel horrible because I haven't already decided on POP (for her) but I'm trying to include what DD (2) and myself want too. DH doesn't care one way or the other as long as I don't go over my $3, 000 budget.

You know what... once your daughter gets there... she will probably forget POP... if not.. I doubt she will cry over not staying at POP. She will be so busy with lots of things to do and see there that she won't care where she stays as long as she's in WDW.

If you really want to stay at ASMo again... then do so. If this trip is for your daughter.. then do POP. OR you can visit POP and have lunch there.

I'm going through the same thing. I want to stay at POFQ and DD13 doesn't want to stay there. She would much rather stay at Pop or ASMo. I, personally, did not like Pop at all and there is no way I would choose it over POFQ, but I wouldn't mind ASMo. After getting other opinions, I think I will stick with POFQ. I'm sure that once we get there she will like it. And I'm sure the same will go for your daughter. She will be so excited about being at WDW, she'll probably forget all about wanting to stay at a different resort.

Hi..I agree with the other people....Your daughter will be so happy she is in WDW that she won't care which resort she is in..besides im sure u can go to POP another time maybe when your youngest daughter is older...also Movies i think has a better theme too!...Go for movies and maybe on your visit stop by POP! :flower:

Ya'll have given me such great ideas. Talked to DD last night and told her that while I really know she likes POP, I thought we'd all enjoy ALSMO a little better. BUT on our arrival day we will go by explore the resort and next time we will to WDW we will stay at POP. I also talked to DH and he said if we could get the extra day off we could just go down a day early, don't buy tickets an have an easy day exploring, going to DD, having dinner and relax since we'll be driving down form GA. And then hit the parks the next day and have bell service move our bags. Or sometime before our trip (around Christmas if there's availability and the $) and stay one night and explore the resorts see the decorations, etc. I work for an airline so we fly free so that's a definate possibility. Either way, at some point and time we'll take her by to see the resort and hang around a little while. And since we promised her the next time she can pick ..we're guaranteed another trip! (I have to convince DH every time) Thanks again
