Can't decide on which resort....

Hi. We're planning a trip for the end of July 2021, but I'm struggling to choose a resort. I'll be traveling with DH, DD (16) and DS (14). We've all been twice before when the kids were much younger and traveled with my parents. Both times we stayed in villas at OKW. We love it there and would totally go back, but I think I may want to try something new. I've stayed at various other resorts on property, but never BC, BW, or Riviera. I'm almost positive we'll at least to a 1 bedroom villa, but any opinions on any of those resorts? TIA!

They each have their pros and cons. BCV has a great pool complex and is right next to EP and the Skyliner. You can also walk or boat to DHS (in addition to using the skyliner.). BWV is great as well - it's really fun at night, IMHO, and you are still within walking distance of EP and DHS (plus the boat and Skyliner as well). While I prefer the location of both of these resorts, RIV offers the most comfortable 1-bedroom for your family make-up, IMHO. We just stayed in a 1-bedroom there in December and the pull-down beds are really comfortable. They are much more comfortable than the pull-out sofas you will find at BWV and BCV. I would determine if bed comfort or proximity to parks is more important and go from there. RIV does have Skyliner access to both EP and DHS (which we found super convenient!), but it's certainly not the same as walking right into EP. The pool at RIV is not very exciting, either.

True! That is new since the last time we went. Do you know how the lines are to get on and off, specifically at park opening?

I don’t know if you knew this, but SSR is going through refurbishment right now and the 1 BR will have a pullout couch and a fold down bed. My kids don’t like to share a bed and they love the short walk to DS!

Reports are that the Skyliner is without wait, or very short (sub 5-minute) waits most of the time.

BCV would be our pick based on location and amenities because the EP resort are offers so much to walk to, and if you stay at BC you can still enjoy all the Boardwalk entertainment offerings, but if you stay aw BW you can't use the BC pool! That pool is an incredible plus.

Can’t go wrong with either BC or BW. That location is great! Walk to 2 parks, not to mention all the dining options. We have stayed at both and like them very much. One thing I don’t like about the BC is the quick service restaurant. It really could use an upgrade.

We've stayed at both BCV and BWV and are scheduled to stay RIV. I loved both BC and BW, but even though the pool at BC is amazing, we just stayed this past trip for the first time at BW (with a BW view) and loved it. We enjoyed the clown pool on our resort day - felt less crowded than the pool at BC. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the 3, so it may just come down to price and availability. But I'd definitely try something different than OKW if it were me as I love trying new resorts. If you are not opposed to a split stay, then I'd do RIV and either BC or BW for the best of both worlds

BC the kids will love the pool and quick access to HS. Wildernesses Lodge is just an overall great property but it lacks the access like BC to HS and Epcot with Skyliner and boats. But still a good property. But BCpool rules all!

With the age of your kids I think BC would be the number one choice. Great location and a fabulous pool.

Well to clarify: the skyliner stops at Epcot (international gate...which isnt a far walk from the beach club), ....also at Disney Riviera Resort, Caribbean Beach, Hollywood Studios and Pop Century/Art of Animation.
