OK..here goes:)

Either option involves 21 nights in a villa with my parents, two kids (7yrs old), DH and I...renting/sharing a minivan...5-7days at US/IOA, 2 or 3 days at Sea World, 5 or so days at WDW..rest is relax time;)

Option 1)
January 22-February 11..I think that's the right date..
LOW crowds, weather is ok..not the warmest, maybe the coldest;) Car rental prices are lower, maybe away during the yucky Maritime weather...Have gone in January twice before, and really enjoyed it:) Kids miss 3 weeks of grade 2

Option 2)
February 5-February 26
More crowds..?? Weather might be warmer? Worse in the Maritimes? LOL! **My b-day at WDW!** @@The boy's birthday at WDW!!@@ Leave for home the day my cousin and her family arrive..leave my parents there with them for two weeks.. Kids miss 3 weeks of grade 2...NOTE!! I hate leaving the FUN!

Option 3)
First 3 weeks of March..
Kids only miss 2 weeks of grade 2...celebrate b-days before WDW...there for a week with my cousin and her family..They have to leave before we do!!;) (ie, I don't have to leave the Fun!...I know, so sad and pathetic of me...) My parents come home with us - they went down with my cousin....
BUT ...crowds...*sigh*

My niece is getting married in the DR, the second week of April..so we would just get home, turn around and be gone for another week...

What would you do? My thanks if you're still with me;) LOL!

I would do option 1 as well! I prefer the parks when it is not so crowded.

What a choice--I'd take 21 days vacation any time at all!! :flower: I would pick #3 because I couldn't bear to leave the fun! As far as crowds, we just returned and we were at Disney for 12 nights (during March break and just before Easter) and we went to Universal during the Easter weekend. The crowds were there but we found them manageable. We did what we wanted in the mornings and basically walked on every attraction. After lunch we returned to the resort for rest/swim and then went back to the parks at night. We really never felt overwhelmed by the crowds. However, the front of the line passes at Universal were fabulous during the holiday weekend--we didn't have any wait for any attractions, and we were very quick to get tables at all restaurants. That room key was fabulous and worked like magic!!

I'd like to spend some time with other family members and the kids wouldn't miss too much school. Also, the weather would probably be warmer. :flower:

If it was me , I would go with option # 3. The weather will be be much nicer and the kids will miss less school. Also, you will be able to spend time with your family. I know the crowds will be higher, but you seem very informed about WDW. I'm sure you can put together some touring plans that will help with the higher crowds.
21 nights, wow that will be fabulous.

Good luck deciding.

Very nice decision to make :). Are the kids going to the DR as well? Might be rough for them schoolwise to be gone for a few weeks, back one and then gone again for another one. Also hard on you to just get back and have to get ready for another trip. The DR will be HOT in April so if you miss hot weather in Orlando, you'll know you'll be getting it then. I like option 1 because we also like Jan, low crowds, have been lucky with weather then, you won't miss the family and gives you lots of time to recoup and start getting excited for your next trip in April.

you all think the same way I do...

We even did the eeny, meany, miiiiiinnny mo....LOL! :goodvibes

Think we'll do a secret ballot next;)

Option #1...I really hate the crowds...but then again, President's day Weekend is the only really busy time in Feb and you could use it to relax by the pool.

Feb should be warm. Option 1 but #2 a very close 2nd. I would not do option #3 at all.

I like option #1 or #2. If you are going away in April it is nice to have some downtime/hometime before you head off again. We have been twice in late Feb/early March and the weather was pretty good. Warm enough to swim/tan somedays and not too hot for the parks other days. We are also leaving the cold of Ontario, so I like going when it is cold here!
It sounds like a great way to spend winter!!!

:wizard: Well,I'd like to cast my vote for option #1............I base it on the fact that January is the least crowded time and you will get much more accomplished.Don't worry about kid's missing school because we're bound to have some January storm days, and as I've said before, what's more educational that travel?Don't think the grade 2 teacher will be offended by their missing.
So,put me down as a Nova Scotia teacher who thinks you should consider option #1........There's a reason it's your first option,it's your best!
Whatever you choose, have fun........Our next trip is in November, can't wait!
