Can't decide on a resort

 I am so confused by all the choices. When we went 2 years ago we stayed at POFQ and loved it. This trip, March, 2005, it will just be me and DS 14 and on a budget. I have alloted in my budget $100 per night for our hotel so I am limited. I figured AS Sports most likely unless a deal comes up for POFQ. Then I read about the new Holiday Inn at DD which was called something else before. Their rate right now is really good but who knows what it will be by the time my trip rolls around. I do have AAA so if no codes come out for me I will at least have that. That is my only major decision. I know how long we will stay, what parks we want to see even were we want to eat. I just can't seem to decide on the hotel. Okay, I am an obsessive planner and I have to deal with it. Thanks for letting me vent.

I would try to stay onsite if possible. I have been to LOTS of the disney resorts, but never to the All Star Sports, but to the other two All Stars. Truthfully we LOVED the other two All Stars and are staying at the Sports this time around. A bonus, compare their breakfast food selections at the All Stars to at other resorts, it seemed the All Star had a MUCH greater variety of grab and go food as opposed to the other resorts, and their prices are a lot better there as well for things like a breakfast platter (5.59 whereas at the Caribbean its 7.00) so there is either a huge difference in the food you get or its overpriced elsewhere. So if you just like to get up and go with a good meal, ALl stars are a GREAT choice if you like to eat at your hotel first and not the parks for breakfast. If you like a more formal breakfast than an All Star is not your ticket. Also, try to go in Value Season or Regular Season, that should help tremendously.

I have stayed at all 3 All Stars. I would stay onsite if possible. You could also try Pop Century. With the small amount of time you will spend in your room and with it only being the 2 of you I would try one of the value resorts. :)

We have been at the ASMovie and Pop Century. We liked POP Centuty- probably because it was newer and seemed cleaner, also the tv's are bigger and if you check one of the other threads, sorry I can't remember which one, it goes through the differences. Have fun! We were there this March and with an AP rate we paid about $79

I am definetly not crossing out AS Sports. DS really wants to stay at CS. He saw the pool online and loved it. My decision will strictly be based on money. If there is a good code out then I will take what fits the budget. As it stands now the priority is CS, POFQ then AS. I know I can get in AS for under $100 a night with AAA if nothing else but AS are so big. I don't want to be at such a big resort if I can help it.
