We vowed to take a Disney hiatus since the baby arrived in April (now I am a 3 PRINCESS & 1 PRINCE MOM). The free dining option is a huge draw, given the size of our family. Airfare and all will cost under just $3,000 for a 2 room value stay or under $4,000 for a deluxe stay. We're talking 7 days/6 nights.

I know the usual argument of more room and 2 bathrooms for 2 rooms at Pop. However, given that we'll have an infant a quick walk back to the Contemp or monorail to Poly seems awefully convenient.

Opinions, please.

Glad to be back on the Dis. I've missed this.

:confused3

The 5 of us have stayed very comfortably in deluxe rooms in the past; however, dh and I have given up a great deal of privacy doing this. I guess it just depends on how much "togetherness" you can tolerate.

How old are your kids? We have a large family and have stayed in 1 deluxe room before just fine. However since I have teens and little ones we now really prefer 2 rooms. The teens like stay up later, talk and watch tv, while we want to go to sleep earlier.
If you are gonna stay 1 room at a deluxe the Poly and CR have larger rooms. YC rooms are also a decent size.

If money is not an option and not knowing the kids ages (expect the baby), I would to the deluxe.

We LOVE POP and are doing the 2 rooms for our party of 4 BUT if I had 4 small children I would stay in a deluxe or maybe a camper. The rooms are bigger.

Why not consider 2 rooms at a moderate? A step up from value, but still the extra space. A few more amenities.

SInce your prince is so young--you might want the extra space incase he is up early, or in the middle of the night. It's great if one is napping or ready for bed and the others are still awake.

But--I just went thru the same dillema, and switched our ressies from 2 at CBR to 1 at the YC. We have 3 DSs. I couldn't help it tho--we'll be there for our anniv and we honeymooned at the YC.

As previous posters have hinted, the ages of your children would be the determining factor. If you could post their ages, we would be able to give you a better answer :)

With an infant, I would definitely stay at the Poly or Contemporary. You will like not having to fold up the stroller for the monorail, and better yet, just walking to MK from the Contemporary. I loved being able to come and go from the parks when my baby was tired, cranky or hot.

PRINCESS 1 is 12, Princess 2 is 8, and Princess 3 is 5. As I mentioned our new PRINCE is around 4 months.

All of your points are well taken, but I am as divided as before. Based on 2 big factors:
1) 2 rooms will afford us space and privacy, specifically if the PRINCE wakes during the night...a big PLUS

2) a monorail resort's convenience can't be beat!

Maybe I am even more confused than before. I hadn't been considering YC, but all 3 PRINCESSES are like fish in the water so SAB could be a huge draw.

I should also mention, we are looking at going in just a couple of weeks.

Thanks, again, everyone

I also have 4 kids. We went when the youngest was 4 mths also and we choose to stay at CR. I think it was the perfect location. We are going in Jan and are staying at CR again. Our kids will be DD10, DD within 3 wks of turning 9, DS will turn 6 while we are there and our youngest DD will be 19 mths. It will be the last time we can all stay in a deluxe together. We considered 2 mod or value rooms and in the future we will have to do this (and as the 3 girls get older, we will definitely want the 2 bathrooms). But the monorail and the walk to MK made the CR the perfect choice. The kids loved it too and can't wait to go back. We were in the North Garden wing which is closer to MK. The kids also made new friends playing in the grass outside our room. Very nice.

Hi,
I have 2 princesses and a prince, and I shared your dilemma a few years ago. I decided on the Poly when my youngest was an infant, but this year we're going with two rooms at the POP. At that time, my youngest was an infant and I decided that the monorail access outweighed being in one room. The other factor I considered was that she was a good sleeper, and I thought she would be able to nap in spite of older kids going in and out of the room. This year I've decided that we need the two tv's as well as the two bathrooms. My oldest children need some space or we're going to have multiple murders on this trip.

I think you've got all the important info - you just need to decide what is going to be the most relevant for your family. You're going to have advantages and disadvantages with either choice; however, I also think you could be equally happy with either.

Good luck! :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl:
