Can't decide- Fantasmic or MVMCP

My brothers say we shouldn't miss Fantasmic. I don't have it scheduled in. Never been to Fantasmic or the Christmas Party. My DDs will be 5 and 8. We don't have park hopper. Currently, the plan is:

Dec. 3 MK
Dec. 4 AK, then possibly MVMCP
Dec. 5 MGM, 6:40 ADR at 1900PF
Dec. 6 EP
Dec. 7 MK

We could switch the AK & MGM days and trade MVMCP for Fantasmic. On one hand, it would be cheaper to not go to the party. On the other, we may never go in December again, this is the last time I will probably take them out of school. How can I decide?

I think it is worth going to MGM at night for the Osborne Family Lights, not Fantasmic.

I would do both (it seems you can fit it in) or I'd do MVMCP if I had to choose.

If you do do Fantasmic be sure and go see the Osborne Family lights after the Fantasmic show!

Also check for Extra Magic Hours if your staying at a resort hotel. Do the EMH at MGM, this will give more than enough time for the Osbourne Lights and Fantasmic. MVMCP was a blast. Best parade IMO. Also there are a few characters around that only come out for the special events like MVMCP and MNSSHP. Not to forget the regular characters in holiday outfits.

MVMCP is a much better take. You get the entire park for the evening, a holiday parade, and Whishes gets a special ending that includes perimeter fireworks.

1. Don't understand why you can't do both
2. you should include doing Osbourne lights at the same trip to MGM
3. Fantasmic doesn't cost any additional money
4. You don't need a park hopper to attend the MVMCP as it is a hard ticket event.

I have to agree with everyone esle- do both.

You are already in MGM so why wouldn't you hang around for Fantasmic and Osborne lights.

MVMCP is the best- not something to be missed.

You must do MVMCP! The parade is worth the price of admission itself. Sitting on main street while it was 'snowing' sipping hot chocolate was amazing. The party lasts 5 hours!

Fantasmic is pretty unique, and I would try to squeeze it in. It can't be more than 25 minutes long, so try to fit it in your itinerary.

No reason you can't do both and many have given you good advise on how to do it.All three are great events,Osborne Lights,Fantasmic and MVMCP.Have a magical time at WDW.
